Mission Burger Co is our go-to spot for the perfect quick vegan burger! My kids and I absolutely love it here—the food is always fresh, delicious, and totally kid-approved. From their juicy burgers to crispy fries and fun soft-serve treats, it’s a one-stop vegan comfort food dream. Whether we’re grabbing a fast meal or treating ourselves after a busy day, Mission Burger never disappoints. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a satisfying, fully vegan meal that even little ones will devour!

Highly recommend both items I tried here: the BBQ Plate and the Turkey Sandwich. Wow! Blown away by those flavors and portion sizes. The service is also great very friendly and very Austin.

Wow, their vegan brisket is scary good, like you’re questioning if you’re eating meat, lol. Was greeted very pleasantly and given a yummy chocolate chip cookie while I was checking out the menu. Really amazing! The brisket, coleslaw & beans were all yummy!

The service is incredible and was able to meet two of the owners who were so gracious and kind!

Micheal brought back soft serve after Mission Burrito went full cocoon. This stuff is amazing. The new digs (new to me) on South Lamar are what everyone likes: simple, modern. I’ll be back for the burgers. The ice cream was cookin’! —Robb

Absolutely love this place. Michael really has his act together and possess tremendous knowledge regarding vegan food. I mean the $20 Ruben is basically healthy as he makes the pastrami. Try everything many times. 👍

Incredible casual vegan concept. The brisket is smoked for 5 hours and was the best vegan replica I’ve had. A new favorite for me.

Great burgers! Garlic fries weren’t worth the charge.

Vegan or not, if you’re looking for some amazing Texas-BBQ, then look no further than Mission Burger Co. Coming from California, I’ve been spoiled with my choices for delicious vegan food. Who would have thought Texas would be able to deliver something, not just on par, but exceeding vegan Cali standards. I ordered the BBQ brisket plate and let me tell you, I was blown away. The brisket was smoky, flavorful, and had that meaty texture down to perfection. I never would have guessed it was mushroom! The sides of coleslaw and mac n’ cheese were equally delicious. Of course, vegan cheese still has a little way to go before it’s able to fool dairy lovers, but it the side dish still was ooey, gooey, and went perfectly with that smoky brisket. The owner was super nice as well and gave me a vegan chocolate chip cookie and some of the creamiest vegan vanilla soft serve you can find. All in all, Mission Burger Co. is a solid 5 stars.

Visiting Austin from UK, and found this place today after searching Happy Cow. So glad I made the walk down there. Arielle was amazing! Helped me choose what to order and also let me try a little of the brisket (which was divine) and a little of the mac and cheese (delicious) I went for the Mission Burger and thoroughly enjoyed it! Also got to chat all things vegan with Arielle who gave me some great recommendations for other places back in London I hadn't heard of. I really appreciated her taking the time to speak with me! Highly recommended!
