Stopped by around 4:45pm on a Sunday with my wife and kid to check the place out. The door was locked, and when someone came out, she abruptly and aggressively told us they were closed for a private event and would reopen at 5pm. Totally understandable if you're closed—but the tone was unnecessarily rude. A little kindness goes a long way.

A cute, small cider tasting room in the heart of Austin’s east side. It’s perfect for just hanging out and playing board games. The tasting room constantly has changing ciders that are on the dry side. Perfect for me!
Love having my event here will do it again
They even added SOCO ginger beer to the tap wall!

We held our company kick-off at Moontower Cider Co. in January 2025, and it was a fantastic experience! Chelsea was incredibly accommodating, making the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. The space was perfect for our needs—easy to access, with tables, chairs, and linens set up for us. They also provided a projector screen and clicker for our presentation, which was a huge plus.
Funny story—we accidentally took the USB clicker with our work things, and Chelsea was so understanding when we returned it. She was a pleasure to work with the entire time!
The only minor challenge was parking, as we had a lot of trucks on our team, but there was plenty of street parking available. Overall, it was a great venue, and I’d absolutely use it again for another event.

I would stay away from this place. Shaddy characters. They do not pay their vendors, promising payments and no intention of ever paying. Because of these type of bad actors and places, small businesses suffer.

These were ok ciders, and I didn’t really love any of them. The miel one, made with mead, tasted as if the mead had gone bad.

We got a flight of 4 ciders ($13). I used to work at a brewery, and they all had the unpleasant aftertaste you get from brewing sugar water for making seltzer (before the filtration step that makes it taste cleaner), because of this I really didn't enjoy their ciders and opted to not finish a few. (Disclaimer on this, I am much more a beernut than a cider lover, but overall the Austin East ciders are much better imo)The indoor space is nice enough, and it's nice that they have a place to sit outside, but it's pretty cramped and doesn't have nice natural qualities (like trees).
Parking: 12ish spots in their parking lot from what I recall
