Worst hazelnut latte and matcha latte. Both drinks were barely warm, even though we specifically asked for them to be hot. I mentioned this to the person taking the orders, and instead of addressing the issue, he simply asked which coffee I was referring to and then walked away. This was definitely the worst coffee-buying experience I’ve had here.

The coffee was quite average, and I found it did not live up to the expectations. Additionally, the matcha I ordered was rather flavorless.

We went for the Christmas lights and it was fantastic. Hot chocolate. Tight rope walkers. Live hymns praising the savior. It was delightful. Went for a date night and it did not dissapoint.

Such an amazing place. The open air by the lake and the live music provides a really beautiful environment for a coffee date or to work from there. The coffee is great, the bakery options are numerous and they have a nice little shop also.

Dear Mozart’s, please remove and replace the name “Mozart” from your sign with something more appropriate. “Mozart” would indicate an air of excellence and excitement. Neither of which are available in the current iteration of this once happy, gourmand experience. Pissy staff members berate customers and act contemptuously when asked questions about goods on display. Then there’s the food. Overpriced. Over-hyped. Not the excellent fare of decades past. Speaking of which…All things must pass. So glad we passed on the light show this year. Friends went and left angry and feeling cheated. Our last visit for breakfast in December was not worth the wait, or the attitude from the staff. Like so much of Old Austin, it’s no longer the place we remember. Instead of defaming an excellent composer of music with your mediocre fare and service, consider renaming it “Bloatzart’s”. A more accurate description and current observation. Good day!

Our 2nd year at the light show, and although it’s a little crazy with how many people are there, they’ve done a good job with setting up enough stands from which to purchase cocoa, coffee and snacks.
The hot chocolate is AMAZING.

They have great desserts, hot chocolate, and coffee! Had the Mozart's mocha special personally. During Christmas time, they have a ton of Christmas lights out, great place for a date or family! Highly recommend the Hula Hut next door for food as well.

Make sure you check the event calendar before visiting!
I’ve been a regular for over a decade, I still love this place but it can be very inconvenient when events are hosted. Not only is it even harder to park than usual, but certain areas may be closed off, even the bathroom is inaccessible unless you purchase a ticket for the event and you’re stuck going to their limited trailer stalls (which is not handicap accessible, you have to climb stairs)
Otherwise, pastries are good. Tea selection has been decent. They roast their own coffee beans, I’ve had better tasting coffee elsewhere. My husband likes the smoothies, and the Italian soda is pretty flavorless after they started cutting back on the amount of syrup used. Generally my main reason for still coming here and for recommending is the scenic view and pastries. When there’s no big event, it’s a good place to study, work or spend time with friends.

I had to update my review. It's an amazing place with great bakery, good coffee and one of the best waterside seating in Austin. BUT, it's the victim of its own success. Even a while ago one had to wait 10 minutes to stand the line, and another 10-15 to get the order. Over the last year waiting times became unbearable, the minimum line length is 40 yards pretty much anytime during the day. There is NO coffee or pastry that I'd wait 40-50 minutes for... I simply stopped coming here because the management can't handle the popularity. And adding a separate pop up counter to get simple coffee while waiting in line for coffee is not an actual solution...
