We have been going to this local family owned and run Thai restaurant since they first opened in 2009. They weren’t getting a lot of traffic when they first opened and we worried if they were going to survive. Thankfully they have and did well even through COVID as they have a pretty big take-out clientele. The food is always consistently and reliably excellent every single time inside the restaurant or picked up and taken home. I love the food and the people who work there.Whenever family comes in to town that really knows good Thai food they want to go here. My son who now lives in Denver and who has been all over the world, including Thailand wants to go here every time he is in town. The owners recognize us every time we go too.I can recommend the vegetarian, Pad Ma Kur Yao(V4) the TomKa soup, we get a full hotpot every time, the PadWonSen(E8), honestly everything on the menu is amazing! The curry’s rock, all of them and I have had them all. Tod Mun!(A10) The noodle dishes are amazing, and if you want something truly decadent get the ChuChee!!!(Sp4)I came here to call in a to go order and realized that I have never written a review and feel really guilty that I have not, as much as I love this place.I HIGHLY recommend Muangthai, especially if you know what to expect from excellent Thai cuisine.

My favorite Thai around Lakeline. Been coming here for 15
First time there. Never going back.Food did not taste like any Thai food I have had before. Big chunks of onions on everything. Green curry was so bland and did not taste like green curry.Service was not good. The person who brought the food had his thumb touching the curry (see picture attached). Just horrible.

I tried the Tom kha soup, basil fried rice and pad Thai . I liked all of them except the pad Thai. As I am a vegetarian, I tried everything with tofu. The service is fast and the portions are huge. And it was not crowded.

Must try pineapple fried rice and if you are spicy lover try basil fried
Their food is consistently on point and the staff are very friendly. Their Tom Kha is among the best in Austin, and their basil fried rice is absolutely delectable. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: They will ask if you are vegetarian and recommend options if anyone in your group is allergic to shellfish or fish sauce.
