Great place, relaxed vibe and good food. We like this place a lot. Just wish they would put out a bottle of hand sanitizer or something. It'a mostly finger food and the bathroom is teeny tiny and outside of the building, so washing your hands is not convenient, especially when with a group.

Wow this place is busy for lunch, but I now know why. Super delicious sandwich, I ordered the Pastrami sandwich w/no tomatoes on sourdough. I highly recommend this sandwich, I really do like the vibes of this place. Makes you feel like you're apart of the neighborhood, everyone saying hi and talking to each other. I got to look at all the other food going out as I waited, everything looks so good. I'm definitely coming back, thank you guys.

Feb 8, 2026. Ordered a Ruben and a pasta salad to go. Ruben bread soggy, mostly saurkraut, they decreased amount of corn beef since my last visit. The pasta salad looked like dog food, tasted horrible, I bite, could not eat it. Spiral pasta in some kind of bad mix of spices, it was gross. Cost:$21.50

This is a belated review for the exceptional service Greg (and his wife) provided back in November '25. We traveled to Austin for my brother in-law's bachelor party and needed to feed 25 people for a day on Lake Travis. Not only did Greg help sort out the full order (taking various dietary restrictions in to consideration), but his wife graciously delivered the order to the Lake just in time for us to head out. Greg was super communicative and kind throughout the whole process and the sandwiches were delicious to boot!

New world deli, old school vibe! This place!! Wowza!!! A must try and then go back and back and back again. My first time at this wonderful establishment and it lived up to my expectations.
The layout reminded me of a deli in my hometown back east. Tall ceilings, big counter, very laid back ambiance and cool art hanging on the walls, jazz music playing softly.
What I appreciated the most was the menu. It’s listed by popularity which made my decision very easy to go with the corned beef Rueben. The bread was toasted to perfection and it didn’t get soggy from too much sauerkraut or sauce. Sammie came with plenty of meat to complement the sauerkraut. Ordered a side or pasta salad which was on point. Topped off my order with an IPA, cause why not. I already recommended this place to two of my buddy’s who live in Austin. Will 100% go back any time I’m in Austin!

a lovely little old-school deli with excellent sandwiches and some of the best fries I've had in a while. great place to do a crossword puzzle and take in a relaxed atmosphere.
Wonderful atmosphere; mid food and service for astronomical prices (before tip, 2 sandwiches + 1 soda = $40)
The Ruben was great, but the ~$20 turkey sandwich had a meager 3 thin slices of turkey. Iced tea tasted old.

I adore New World Deli! The food is delicious, and I love going to Beatles night. The atmosphere is always so lively and joyous and the band is amazing. Their sandwiches are always fresh and delicious and I loooove their sweet potato fries. Also always a delicious assortment of desserts. One of my New Years resolutions is to go to Beatles night more. Lol. But seriously, New World Deli is an Austin gem that is one among the sadly dwindling number of places that are helping to keep Austin's soul alive. <3
