What a gem! The absolute best bahn mi in Austin! Plus they have espresso/coffee drinks now! And they give you a free cup of soup while you wait. Their new renovations also improved the atmosphere in a big way.The owner makes her own bread everyday, in addition to the entire pastry case (don’t leave without a dessert)!!I love going here for business meetings or when I’m meeting up with friends for lunch. Nobody I’ve taken here ever goes there and leaves unimpressed.I love the pork belly bahn mi & her sesame sweet bread. The owner always recognizes me when I come in & memorized my order. :)

My mom picked us up some food from here and came home raving about how nice the lady/owner was, so I could only hope the food was as good…I was blown away.We got chicken pad Thai, green curry with beef, lemongrass stir fry, and some bahn mi sandwiches and everything was SO FLAVORFUL.The subtle details, from putting a piece of cardboard in the bottom of a bag to better hold certain dishes, to the owner making the baguettes DAILY for their sandwiches, really put this place over the top.10/10, we’ll definitely be back!!!EDIT: I wrote this before finding out we got dessert. Their bread pudding is STUPID GOOD. That’s all ?

This place is so so delicious! And the family that owns it is the absolute sweetest. We visited NG Cafe on a chilly Austin night and this was the perfect atmosphere and menu for the occasion. We went with the turmeric pancakes, Tom Kha soup, beef drunken noodles and the pork belly bahn mi. We loved it all, but our favorite was the pork belly bahn which came on a homemade flaky delicious roll. We took up two tables for all the food we ordered (oops!). They have an amazing lineup of homemade pastries and desserts made in-house by the owner’s son. We ordered a slice of the cookie dough cake and it’s probably one of the best cakes I’ve ever had.Do yourself a favor and grab the sesame roll while you’re at it(10/10). I cannot wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Definitely give this place a try, you won’t regret it!

High quality, fresh food with a incredibly kind and attentive staff. I had the pork bahn mi and the pork was so juicy, bread was super fresh. I think this might be the best spring rolls I’ve ever had , tofu was perfect crispy and soft

NG cafe has become our go-to place!! We have started coming regularly with our little ones. It’s a super pleasant and aesthetic environment. (& comfortable with a kids!) The owner, NG, and her husband are so kind and personable. I love the yellow Curry and my husband loves the Pad Thai and grilled pork Bahn Mi. Everything is so flavorful. The bread is also perfect. I haven’t tried the desserts yet but they look precious like from a local bakery. I’m always so pleased with our experience here. There is also a lovely sitting area with couches and coffee table- everything is just so thoughtful. Highly recommend.

5 minutes from Walnut Creek Playground/Trails behind Walmart. Enjoyed Vietnamese chicken fried rice, eggrolls, chicken & pork vermicelli noodles, eggdrop soup. Clean modern, order at the counter, family run, 6 tables & communal table. Hope to return soon for coffee & dessert options.
