The food is pretty good but not great, especially for the price. The service is good, fast and friendly. My biggest problem is that the water tastes a little funny.

Ok food but very overpriced for what it is. Fries were $11 and in a small bowl and no different than some fries you’d get at Dans hamburgers. View is cool, but blocked a lot by half the building.

Great service and atmosphere, the food was a disappointment. The portions are very small, and a lot of dishes were either very bland or unimaginative. The crudo didn’t taste like anything, for example. The fries were the best part.Nothing like paying $230 for dinner and leaving hungry

Update: Hannah was exceptional. A truly memorable person and experience. I was visiting with my sister from out of town. She was so kind hearted, warm spirited and went above and beyond with caring service unlike anything I’ve had (I’ve been all over the country and it’s rare to have such a sincere wonderful person serve the table). She was on point the entire time and even recommended fantastic dishes. A lunch I will not forget. The night prior we had Taylor serving us, and she was also super attentive and friendly - making it a comfortable, memorable time. I anticipate going back. Most beautiful ambience with gorgeous views inside and outside, attention to details, mood lighting, soft music, romantic, relaxing.. and delicious food.

In room dining from Nido. The burger is one of the best I’ve had in years. Has that backyard flavor on a brioche bun with a slight jam and homemade pickles. The avocado toast was also excellent. The salmon hash was too heavy to enjoy.

The service was sub par for a place with these prices. Food was over cooked and served cold. It was not crowded and there was no reason to not get asked about refills or how is everything. Great view, but very disappointing experience.

Nido was truly an exceptional experience! I booked a reservation for my birthday with some friends. We sat on the patio, which has an absolutely stunning view of downtown. The food and drinks were amazing, and our server Trenton was so fun and really made the night special.

Food was delicious! My husband and I can't get the Cavatelli pasta out of our minds! Octopus carpaccio was an appetizer that stood out the most to us. Drinks were pretty solid and we also loved the ambience. Our server was maybe a little too busy with too many tables and he forgot about us a couple times. Overall, it was great and we would recommend this restaurant. We'll for sure come back.

Small portions for big prices. The pudding dessert turned out to be ice cream, maybe it was a frozen pudding, but the menu didnt state that. Nice place but too expensive for what I received.

Lovely view. Good food (when they get your order right). Some staff are fantastic, but others are inexperienced/poorly trained, so it's a dice roll. About 50/50 solid/comically bad for me. Wine list is pretty good. I'll keep going back.

Went to this place just for lunch. I had salmon hashbrown and it was old fried potatoes with not good tasting salmon and white cream or whatever tasteless crap it was. Super dry. Bad. Also had french fries, regular fries for $11.My husband had tuna that tasted like herring and burrata. Burrata was as ok.Our daughter had pasta and it was the only good tasting meal for a reasonable price. As we sat down, I asked the waitress if they had fresh squeezed juice, she said yes and said they had orange, grapefruit and pineapple and also some signature green juices that are freshly made. Well… I had green juice that was not fresh ($14). I ordered fresh squeezed orange juice for my daughter. Unfortunately I did not taste it until we were already leaving and it was cheap out of the box sugar loaded juice. I would have never bought this for my daughter. When I asked the waitress why it’s not fresh, she said sometimes it’s fresh and other times it’s from the bottle. $8 for fake fresh squeezed juice. We love good food and have no problem paying the price, but the food in this place was beyond disappointing. So unfortunate as the view is amazing and the place super nicely decorated and we would have loved to come here more often as we live right across the river :)

Granted it was a high bar to upstage the Taco Cabana that was formerly here but Nido was phenomenal on all counts. Cool pre-game hang at the bar with killer cocktails and stunning views. Dining room just as scenic with small plates and entrees doing it justice. Started with the hamachi and the bruschetta - both stunning. Our entrees were the scallops, redfish, and pork. All stellar and pairing well with a bottle of Morgon. The space here is just incredible - even if the food sucked I'd be back and the food did not suck. Did have french fry envy as I saw a couple orders land at a nearby table. So yah I know what I'm getting next time. Pro tip: Try to reserve one of the tables in the bar alongside the windows. Good times.

I've been to Nido a few times and each time I've ordered the Brussels, crudo, and lamb ragu. Never disappointed! Best views of downtown Austin, and also impressed the friends I bring along.
