Awful experience. Our snarky waiter was not helpful, seemed annoyed when asked any questions. The service was so slow that by the time they finally came to take our dinner order, we did not want to wait any longer and we left. Waiter simply said...we're busy tonight. No tip, wasn't giving them any more of my money.

It took the waiter a minute to get to us but the place was packed. Once he got to us he took care of us, not intrusive, but we didn't want for anything. The hostess answered our “what are the favorites” question when she brought our glasses for our water. Our dilemna was he had a burger for lunch and I had adult grilled cheese elsewhere—so we flipped. My burger was a perfectly cooked medium rare and there were more fries than the two of us could consume. If I had not pushed most of the bun aside, I could not have eaten the whole yummy burger. His grilled cheese was more than he could eat. When we return we will share an entree in order to try an appetizer and/or a dessert

I held my Galentine's Happy Hour at Nightcap and it was so perfect! We had a great table inside with a great view of the bar and outside to 6th Street. The food, cocktails, and wine were delicious! We all ordered shareables and our server did a wonderful job helping us make room on the table. She also made sure our waters were always full and our next drink was ordered before our current one was empty. She was very fun and sweet, and will definitely be invited to next year's Galentine's Day outing! :) The prices were definitely reasonable - we all appreciated that. Highly recommend this spot for a Happy Hour or Date Night!

Great place! We loved the charcuterie board, so good. I had the carnitas grilled cheese which was delicious and my husband had the nightcap burger, which he said was good. We also had the banana fosters pudding and both agreed it was delicious. Needless to say we were stuffed and in a food coma afterwards.

Super mixed emotions about my visit last night. Not being an Austin native, someone that lives here recommended this spot to us. Super cozy ambience in here must admit. The staff 10/10. The food is what I’m giving this spot a 3 stars instead of 5.We started off with a Cheese & Charcuterie board. Nothing crazy about it. Great appetizer to start with. My main entree was a Roasted chicken that was on top if some sort of sauce & a red sauce. The white sauce reminded me like some sort of yogurt. Red sauce mixed with the white sauce balanced out and had a better taste as I dipped my chicken too. Chicken was good, crispy skin and seasoned well. Now, this plate had a bunch of radishes that just didn’t find it good also for the arugula. Menu claims to have roasted bell peppers and pecans. I didn’t see any of it, must’ve been blended into that red sauce I mentored earlier.Second dish was a Night Cap burger. Pretty good burger must say. Super juicy, can’t really mess up a burger. Patties were just a tad bit salty which had me drinking water after each bite. The fries that came along were mediocre.Lastly, dessert. By our waiter he recommended their Banana Foster pudding. I could tell it wasn’t made fresh that day of because the bananas were definitely ripened. They had a dark color to it. Also what was interesting was that this dessert felt like it had some sort of nutmeg spice or even cinnamon that I felt like it was overpowering the whole dessert itself. Not enjoyable at all.Overall, I had better expectations for the food itself. Stated before the staff were great. Nothing towards them, super attentive throughout the experience. I might come back to try different food options and maybe their cocktails in the future.

My wife and I went for a date night, and we couldn't have asked for anything better! It's a smaller intimate bar/restaurant and the food (Wagyu) was to die for!! Their espresso Martini's were also some of the best we have had.

Nightcap was such a wonderful experience. The drinks were phenomenal and the food was excellent. We got the arancini and “I dip, you dip” to start. The arancini was outstanding and the dips were also fantastic. Two appetizers was definitely too much for two people, though. Our waitress was super attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance is lovely, with a good mix of music and not an overly loud atmosphere. We'll definitely come back!

Our server was very attentive. The place was pretty slow for a Saturday night, so we didn't have to wait too long for our drinks & dinner. The place is so cute and I love the decor. Would definitely return.

Can I please give 10 stars? I hosted a holiday brunch recently at Night Cap. The entire experience from start to finish was amazing. Mario helped come up with the perfect menu and drink options and the ambience was exceptional. Perfect! The entire staff was helpful and attentive. The food was out of this world. We were treated like friends and not just another event. This is why I support this small business in Austin. I will definitely be going back often to enjoy the food, drinks and atmosphere of Nightcap.

Wonderful ambience with fantastic cocktails and we have only begun to sample their delicious menu. Perfect for a romantic date indoors or a girl's night out on the patio. And if you are lucky enough to meet the owner, Christin, you will never forget this wonderfully crazy ball of energy who makes you feel so welcome! Highly recommend !
