We always have the best time here. The drinks are amazing and the service has never been anything but 5 star. The Marbella and Lomo Saltado are the combination to get. Order when you’re at the pool because you will have the best time. Frank is one of the best servers we have ever had. If you thought you should or would not go back please do at least once.

This is the restaurant by the pool, Nopales. It lived up to their reviews…in a bad way. We walked in and were told “we close in an hour…“ as if an hour wasn’t enough time to have a meal? Wasn’t welcoming in any way. Staff was almost discouraging us from deciding to eat there when that is how they greet the guests. The look on their faces, you would have thought we came in 5 mins before closing. We ended up having dinner there and were still out by an hour. Food was good. We visited on 4/26/24

Our first impression of this restaurant is that they want to close early. We were aware of the hours, but it was clear from the staff that they didn't appreciate us coming in 30-50 min before closing. On our second visit, they actually closed stopped service early. I hoped for a better impression being part of this lovely resort.

Spent four days at Barton Creek. Absolutely beautiful venue. Only thing nicer was the staff. Pilar handled our reservation and check-in. She was wonderful. Had breakfast in Texas Spice and drinks in Jim Bob’s. Food was great… drinks better. Wanted to sit by one of the outside fire pits with a bottle of wine. Our bartender, Alan, handed me a bottle with four “real” wine glasses and wished us a memorable evening. Finally, my thanks to Michael Crowley and Whitney Goodwin for the amazing amenities we discovered awaiting us upon our arrival. Only sad point… I didn’t bring my golf clubs. I will return, sticks in hand.
Arrived late and resort hotel driveway very difficult to find because no lighting on entrance signage within resort. Chose to self-park as valet nightly rate is $32 without tip. Garage is a long distance from hotel lobby and, again, signage to lobby was not good. Room was a comfortable standard room but still dated. HVAC System was loud - like having an old radiator turning on and off throughout the night. The bathroom was dated, the tub/shower combo had flimsy shower curtain and the bottom of the tub was severely damaged to the point that you would not be able to take a bath or shower without putting a washcloth over the damaged area (so not to cut yourself). The stopper did not work also. Sheets were comfortable but duvet comforter thin and did not provide much warmth. Came back to room from a wedding to watch the final game of the World Series only to discover that the TV did not work!! On the positive side, staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool area was wonderful and all staff were great. Spa services were awesome!
If you are coming to Austin, you need to stay here. Before even stepping foot on property, the drive in and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. From the moment you pull up with all the bell and valet staff to the time you leave, it truthfully feels like a world class experience. The staff was some of the most friendly I’ve ever met and I work in the industry so I recognize how challenging things can be. I’d like to give a special shout out to Hilario and Will at the front desk for making the experience even more enjoyable. The property has something for everyone! Fire pits, movies at night, incredible golf courses and some of the most clean rooms I’ve seen in a long time. We dined at Nopales by the amazing pools, Texas Spice for breakfast, at got drinks at the lobby bar and all were fantastic. This resort will cause be to always look for an Omni for future travels and will always hold a special place in our heart. I can’t thank everyone enough for making our last minute trip so memorable. If rating somewhere 10 stars was possible on here, I would for this place.
The Omni is a gorgeous hotel. It nicely pairs the ranch feel with the zeitgeist of design with country club. It is a sprawling hotel with qmazing amenities. The in room breakfast service is very convenient and the lobby coffee shop is efficient and offers a variety of dairy alternatives. The gym at this hotel is nicer and more expensive than a lot of commercial gyms. I am so impressed by it.

We are just one night into a 4 stay stay for a conference but no way is this hotel worth the high price of the rooms. Some reasons below. About an hour after checking in, we were in our room and someone from Housekeeping just walked into the room. No knock, never said sorry or explained himself, just walked in with towels and brought them to bathroom and left. Bizarre. The room is big but just worn and tired. You can tell it was not constructed well and looks cheap (I.e., scratches on furniture, light and electric outlets are crooked, etc). We bought a $5 cup of coffee at the coffee shop and it was Luke warm. The alarm clock went off in our room at 6 am. A true luxury hotel would make sure it was turned off before new guests. The towels are flimsy and thin, have holes and yellow stains. Not luxury hotel towels. This morning we had 4 decaf coffee pods and no regular coffee pods. Had to go to the front desk to get them. The bathrobe in the closet was damp to the touch (it was in there overnight so I can only imagine how wet it was). Our view from our room is of concrete and a parking ramp. The hallway is noisy. The shower water does not get hot and has horrible water pressure. Upside is the front desk staff have been nice and the food in there restaurants good. Bottom line is no way is this a luxury hotel. I would equate it to a courtyard by Marriott (at best). Not worth more than $250 a night at the most.
Rooms were overpriced due to size of room. Swimming pools were nice, but never opened on time in the morning. Golf course was excellent. Practice facility for golf was in good shape. Miniature golf was in horrible shape with mud on the greens.
Perfect getaway for young families with pools, golf, arcade, Austin proximity and fun activities like s’mores. Not the worlds fanciest resort but perfectly adequate and clean. After the remodel it’s very nice!
While it's a pretty resort , some of what they charge you for is absurd and for the life of me, do not understand why on one hand, they try to be a first class resort and charge accordingly yet stick you for $3.00 if you want ice in your cocktail, or $5.00 to shake a martini. It's pathetic that they don't just add these charges to the price of a drink. Instead one sees all these "upcharges" on one's bill which leads to annoying conversations with waitstaff and managers. For the $500 or so a night they charge ( before resort fees) , they want $8.00 for a bowl of peanuts at the bar and $1.00 for olives in one's drink. Someone at this organization has no common sense. Will not return.
Omni Barton Creek has done a great job with the new additions. This is my second visit and I am really glad to experience the newer rooms. Very nice, peaceful, and comfortable. The staff, service, and food is very good. Well done Omni!!
