I went to Nori for my birthday and I'm Obsessed. We got the no-tuna and no-salmon nigiri, spicy edamame, volcano roll, Shiitake roll, and yakisoba. Absolutely stellar experience! Updated from previous review on 2026-02-26

Great ambience and food. Definitely the best vegan sushi I've tasted! We were originally booked at the high table (an oversight on my part). That was an issue for us, since we were dining in with a toddler. The staff, however, were kind enough to switch us over to regular seating on very short notice.

For having a set menu of a 5 course meal, we paid over $300 and still ended up going out to eat after. It was basically small rolling appetizers. I love Nori, but I would never eat at a reservation like that again where there's a set menu for the night. We were very disappointed in our Valentine's dinner.

I really enjoyed their Valentine's Day special! The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and made me feel comfortable, and the atmosphere was great!

Valentine's Day at Nori Sushi was great. 1 of 2 vegetarian omakase dining experiences in Austin. They could easily compete for a Michelin star recognition. The food was outstanding both in creation and presentation. The cocktail program was absolutely amazing. I opted for the Saki paring while my lovely date had an exclusive cocktail. We have been coming back for a year when we want great vegetarian sushi. My date is vegetarian and I've always wanted to bring her to Taré sushi (a Michelin recommended speak-easy sushi experience) but as she is vegetarian she wouldn't be able to eat. Nori is a great solution for vegetarians. The staff is great and very knowledgeable. They enjoy taking time to talk to the guests and make them feel at home. Don't sleep on Nori sushi.

What a feast! My house guest is a vegetarian and I am not so I was clueless as to choosing a restaurant we could both enjoy. OpenTable reviews helped me so I'm returning the favor. Nori is outstanding. The food was beyond delicious. We asked our server to name her favorites and we ordered those. Trust your server to know what would delight a vegetarian and make this carnivore a raving fan. Their food is fantastic. The service is prompt without rushing. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. The noise level calming ~ not crazy loud yet private conversations remain private. Parking is on site and easy. I'll be back with and without vegetarians, it was THAT GOOD! Thanks to the other OT reviewers for helping me discover Nori.

Nori is such a hidden gem in Austin, perfect for a romantic date night. From the moment we walked in, the lighting and layout set a warm, intimate mood that feels both modern and welcoming. What makes it even more special is that the entire menu is completely plant-based, yet the sushi is so fresh and flavorful you'd never guess it's vegan. Every roll is crafted with creativity and care, and the presentation is stunning! Our waitress was the perfect balance of being attentive without hovering, which let us truly relax and enjoy our time together. Between the creative plates, the soft music, and the thoughtful details, Nori makes vegan dining feel elegant and romantic.

Nori is a lot of fun and I wish I could teleport all my friends here to try it. The sushi was amazing, they must do some weird magic trick to get the volcano roll tempura to be lightly fried yet not seem like it’s fried at all, the perfect crunch and texture on the outside of that one. Everything I ate was delicious. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-24

Our go-to place whenever we are in Austin, Nori never disappoints with its plant based sushi.

Nori is our all-time favorite! Their rolls are the best vegan rolls in Austin. Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We keep coming back!

This place rocks! The food is incredible, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is higher end but not pretentious. Great happy hour specials, and prices are reasonable. I love everything about this place.

A perfect date spot for vegan lovers! We ordered the Volcano and Dragon Maki from the menu which were must haves. Spicy Tan Tan Ramen bowl was filling and definitely worth it. In dessert we ordered the Raspberry cheesecake which was the best until now. Definitely recommend this place. Cocktail were ok.

Service was on point, they were so friendly, and super busy the first few nights of opening and still gave their very best! The food was fantastic. Drinks were so good, loved the red wine from Lebanon highly recommend and the espresso martini was also fantastic, one of the best espresso martinis i've had👌 Presentation was unique as well! It's a little pricier but for the food quality and great experience, it was so worth it!
