Upon arrival with my girlfriend, we requested outdoor seating, observing only a few tables available. We expressed a preference not to occupy the first corner table due to a large group nearby, but the host declined other options. Opting for indoor seating instead, we encountered a similar situation with available tables, yet were seemingly discouraged. Eventually, we were directed to the bar area, prompting us to depart immediately. Unfortunately, the initial encounter set a negative tone for the entire experience.

The food and drinks were very average. Friday evening was pretty busy and they take only walk ins for party less 3. And there was no kids menu / option available. The seating was also not kid friendly.

I normally don't give negative ratings to any restaurant, but this merits one. Food was par, and although we normally have drinks, we opted for tea. Our server asked if we wanted refills, said yes, then charged full price at 4$ a glass without mentioning a charge for refills. Then there's the seating. There were two of us with plenty of available tables for seating. Instead of being seated in a table that seats 4, we had to wait for a table for 2. Yes, there were plenty of staff to address available tables that remained empty throughout our dinner. We don't plan on returning.

Our first meal at Numero28 was delicious. We sat outside and a there was a guitar player. Cool vibe. On our way back through Austin we had to stop again. Our server, Courtney, was awesome! She sets the bar high for waitresses. 1/2 price on wine bottles on Tuesdays.

Today I had the most amazing experience at this location! I’ve tried it a couple of times, but what really struck me was my waitress, Juliana!She recommended the margarita pizza, phenomenal, she was a very kind and patient waitress.My husband and I were very impressed.Severs like her make going out so enjoyable.Will be coming back!

The place was decent but everything else was mediocre and not the best atmosphere but fortunately the only silver lining was the bartenders gracious attitude he really made the experience tolerable

This is such a rare gem in the middle of downtown Austin. Great food, and most of all warm service especially Lilia was so sweet and inviting, and I’d come back just to see her. the kind of service I miss!
