They are getting 4 stars because of the patio, and the staff being super nice but the food is getting a poor rating (but for people who like moist brisket.. it gets a 3 for being moist but other than pepper.. there is no flavor)
Came here for the blues and brews crawfish boil - their specials advertised to get people in weren’t accurate (no mimosas, no micheladas, also “wide variety of beer on tap” is 4). I’m hoping this improves over the range they are advertising they are saying they are going to do this for but please come here expecting unseasoned boiled crawfish.
Regarding other food- this Mac and cheese is pretty bland, sausage has a good flavor but tastes like it’s a store bought johnsonville sausage vs in house made and smoked. Burnt end beans taste like bushes baked beans.
I feel bad leaving a review that isn’t positive - but.. y’all gotta know cause the reviews on google don’t accurately represent what you’re walking into. Management if you see this - please implement some changes 🙏 if you can. You have a really good opportunity here to have a solid spot for crawfish boils but you can’t squander it.

Had a brisket melt (sandwich) and a large mac&cheese lunchdropped at work. The sandwich was tasteless and looked like I made it at home. The mac&cheese was completely tasteless and looked like it was from a box. Had to drown it in S&P to make it semi acceptable. And in case ya think I’m just a neg nellie… I’m a normal kinda dude, who pretty much likes everything!! Very sure I won’t order anything from this place again. On a positive note, it was warm!

Great food and awesome staff. Brisket and ribs were incredible. Landon was fantastic and very welcoming. Saw some reviews bashing the banana pudding but they must have taken the criticism because the banana pudding was spot on. Fresh chunks of banana and vanilla cake.

From the street, Oakwood BBQ looks tiny, but there's a hidden gem in the back: a huge outdoor space shaded by old trees. It has a stage, giant Connect 4 game, darts, and more. The brisket is delicious, as are the green beans and mac 'n cheese. Their pickles taste just like the ones my grandma used to make, which makes me love this place even more.
Regarding parking, there are only a few spots in front, but don't let that deter you. There's plenty of room to park on the east side of the building.
