Visited from out of town, decided to come on a Sunday evening for my husband’s birthday before we left. I'm really surprised by the high rating. It was a a bizarre dinner, very underwhelming.

They were out of a ton of stuff on their menu. The mussels were overcooked, broth was super salty, the pretzel tasted like it came out of the microwave. Our dessert was brought out before our entrée. We ordered the chicken linguine to share for our entrée. Come to find out, they were out of that too. No surprise there, but they could have let us know sooner.

There isn’t any communication between the waitstaff and kitchen staff. Hence why our entrée never came out. It was kind of a shit show for such a slow night. The bar area was busy b/c of their Sunday Funday menu. The area we dined in on the other side of the bar, maybe had two full tables.

Needless to say, we left hungry in search of something to satisfy our dinner appetite. I would not return here or recommend it.

Most of what we ordered was mid. The server who was also the barman was not a good server.

The table was dark. I asked for a booth and got a high top, but there were booths open. The spot light above our table was out. It was very dark. The waiter didn't check on us after getting our food. I had planned to order wine with dinner, but that didn't happen. My beef in the ragu was dry and stringy. Not good. My husband said that his cod tasted like catfish. Not a good experience

Made reservation, although not necessary as it was a Monday night and not busy. Hostess sat us at a booth in the bar which was not ideal. I asked about another seating and was told this was it. Server was brusk at best. Food and drinks were good.

Awesome, diverse cuisine with a play area for kids. What more could anyone want?

It was dead on a Friday Night which was weird, but for it being empty the service was super slow. No drink refills, the bar was out of everything I ordered. They did offer us free round of drinks due to them being out of everything, But out of liquor on a Friday night? The food quality was great- but the service not so much.

My wife and I showed up at 1:20 to take advantage of the lunch menu.

We had been twice before and the service from the kitchen was pretty slow.

The third time was no exception sadly. We ordered a burger and a reuben. Then we proceeded to wait nearly 45 minutes for our food. Food comes out at 2:05ish... and my wife's burger has cheese on it(which we had told them not to add as she cannot eat cheese). So the burger is sent back... and takes another 10 minutes to come back without cheese.

The waiter is great. Apologizes and says he will look at getting it removed from the ticket due to the issue. We are happy with this.

When it comes time to pay the bill, it takes 7 minutes to get our card back and the waiter sadly apologizes again and says the general manager refused to take the burger off our ticket. Mind you, we didn't see the general manager once while we were there. They never came to talk to me or my to apologize. So we paid and left at 2:40. The food itself was good. However, it should not have taken an 1 hour and 20 minutes to pop in and order off the lunch menu for a burger and a sandwich...

I don't review a restaurant after just one visit. We gave Oasthouse a try 3 times. Everytime we had slow service from the kitchen and this last time when t hey acknowledged the issue we still were not comped and the management didn't even come talk to us about it... which feels like really poor management to make your waiter come out to explain your decision. The waiter was actually great and super attentive to everything else. Refilled drinks and checked in on a great cadence.

My wife and I have decided to write this place off as a non-choice for us after this visit. the total bill was 45$ for an above average burger and ok Reuben and an incredibly long wait(1 hour 20 minutes total visit time) for "lunch" menu items.

It feels like walking into Meow Wolf, and ending up at Magnolia Court. Real weird.

We went in for drinks at the bar. The bartender was great and the drinks were solid.
