I recently had the pleasure of dining at OLAYA, a food truck stationed at the Tesla Gigafactory, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The chefs at OLAYA are evidently quality-conscious, focusing on delivering both taste and presentation that exceed expectations. The menu, though seemingly simple, offers a delightful range of choices. What stood out the most for me was their salmon dish - it was cooked to perfection, boasting a blend of flavors that tantalized my taste buds. The perfect sear on the salmon, coupled with its juicy interior, made for a memorable meal.Apart from the food, the service was prompt and courteous, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The food truck itself presented a clean and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a quick yet satisfying meal.Whether you’re a Tesla employee, a visitor to the Gigafactory, or just passing by, OLAYA is a culinary gem worth stopping for. It’s rare to find such high-quality food in a food truck setting, making OLAYA a standout in the area. Highly recommend!

While searching for a Venezuelan Arepa, found this gem, now this is where it gets interesting. I'm thinking, okay good substitute, after all it is past midnight and the food journey has to end somewhere. Then I read the menu qnd after the standard fare there is a stir fry menu along with Ceviche... Okay, I ponder this for a while, look around even walk away, then I consider my last stir fry experience and say, okay let's give it a shot. Now, the beef lo mein is $14, which is.a little pricey, however you couldn't ask for better unless hou were 4000 miles away. We're talkkng about a great cut of beef, with chunks, not slivers, excellently seared, not over seasoned and noodles that are just above al dente that can still stand up to the Wok. Let me just say that I normally consider noodles as a nuisance to the meat, not here, they complement and dare I say, with due apologies to the Beef Gods, help to accentuate the flavor of the meat. Get here quick.

Disappointing. Walked 15 minutes from the hotel to find four items on the menu, very different from what's posted on social media. The empanadas and sandwich were good but not Peruvian.

Best Peruvian food around. I’ve tried both their food trucks the Olaya and the Corazón Peruano truck, both on Rainey. I recommend the chorizo at corazón peruano truck in 84th and Rainey and the beef sautéed in Olaya truck. Food was tasty and the quality was high.

Very unfriendly stuff, Told me they don’t have change and asked if I wanted to give it to tips. And got very angry that I was surprised by such blunt request. octopus was undercooked. I asked if they can cook it more but they said they can’t. $16 for octopus should be better. Definitely did not deserve those tips which was mor than 20% Never coming back!!!

My chicken skewers were on the money!!! So tasty and so perfect! The guy who took my order wasn’t drunk and wore a very nice shirt!

The guy who took our order was black out drunk, it was like 8pm on a Friday night. When I went back to check on our order he asked if I wanted to order something. He didn't even remember me ordering the first time. He was also coughing all over the food. He charged us more than what we ordered and had to tell him it was wrong. At first I thought he didnt understand because English wasn't his first language but later realized he was black out drunk due to all the aforementioned events. I never got our food (we didn't want it either at that point) and now need to call my bank about for multiple charges on my card. First ever one star review for anything. Whats weird is the some one else I was talking had the same thing happen to them about overcharging. Any ways, probably a good place if you don't get the black out drunk guy. Hopefully he isn't the owner.
