Whatever you do don’t order take out from this place. We ordered Orange Chicken, General Tso’s Chicken and Brisket Fried Rice. First off, the $21 Brisket Fried Rice was fine, a unique twist on fried rice, however, the size they sent was basically a side, for $21! The Orange Chicken was flavorless, plus at $18 dollars for this it was in a ok size container but, it was 3/4 rice and a tiny bit of orange chicken. Same with the General Tso’s, at least the it had flavor though.Overall, I feel like we got ripped off from this place very hard. What a terrible practice to base a business off of. Won’t be ordering from here again.

The food is very good. The prices used to feel high now they just seem normal for East Austin. I like the salt pepper chicken most. Brisket fried rice was a miss for me. Xiao Mian is my wife’s nickname so no hate for that dish.

So far my favorite Chinese spot in Austin. Perfectly balanced dishes in a great atmosphere with reasonable prices and great service.I always get the Kung Pao chicken on my first visit to a Chinese place because it’s a great staple to compare. Theirs knocks it out of the park with great veggies and sauce and perfectly cooked chicken. We also had great service and a great cucumber salad that balanced out the heat of the meal so well. Would definitely recommend. We finished off with the donuts, and they transported me to my childhood of eating Chinese buffet food just to get the sugary goodness of donut balls. They taste exactly like your best memory of those sweets. In my opinion, it’s a cheaper and better spot for date night or just a dinner than Wu Chow! Check it out!

Coming from a Chinese person, the food was so awful—greasy, over salted, drowned in oil, and plainly not authentic. Also, the prices are insane for such low quality food. The rice and “wontons” were so undercooked and still firm. Truly disappointed.

Food is terrible. I don’t recognize any of the cooking style being authentic. Just tastes bad to me. I ordered 3 dishes, liked none.

My husband and I’s go-to Asian spot. It’s a tad bit pricey, and take-out quality can be inconsistent depending on the day of the week, but man is their veggie fried rice and mala fried chicken unbeatable. So good!

I haven’t been here in a while. No reason other than it’s ‘outside’ my bubble. Decided to go when I was in the area and forgot how good it is. My food was so good, with multiples notes. The service was beyond impeccable. I worked in the industry for years, so service isn’t a priority when I go out, just need a bare minimum of keep my drinks full, and let me know if my food is late. I can say my times at Odd duck did not compare to this genuine hospitality and love put in the food. This made me miss working in hospitality. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Brought a group here for dinner. Food is solid -- very much not trying to be "authentic," but a fun version of "Chinese with a twist," and most of the menu is vegetarian, which worked well for our group. Our server was kind and attentive on a busy night, Cocktails are great, though our focus was food.Vegetarian options: We focused on veg because of the makeup of our group and were happy!Kid-friendliness: This is NOT a place I would bring kids, as a rule. That ain't the vibe, and you would need to have an adventurous eater. Better off taking them to a cheaper, more traditional place.
