I've lived in Austin 6 years and this is my favorite coffee shop in the city. Best seasonal drinks and the most inviting atmosphere. I take all of my friends here when they visit
This place took me back to my childhood, to the things that made me love coffee shops for as long as I can remember. It’s a small, cozy room, covered with art and posters. It’s got an extensive drink menu, and everything on it is sooooo tasty. The baristas are so friendly, always taking the time to chat about your order. And they’re passionate about the espresso they serve, giving every drink care and love. I probably sound like I’m getting paid to write this or someone...
There’s a warmth here that you don’t find at many Austin coffee shops these days.
After being in the city for 12 years, it somehow took me until earlier this year to visit Once Over. Now I’ll go out of my way to pick up a cold brew at least 4 times a week - the coffee is good and the atmosphere is just plain cool, inviting, cool, quirky, and cool. Give Once Over a shot. It’s a special place.
