The concept is right, but the bistec tacos (beef) is not bistec. They use groundbeef🤮 Pastor tacos is not like 956. Coming from the valley and Matamoros, these tacos do not represent 956.

Cashier was completely rude & I waited over 40 minutes for a quesadilla & 3 tacos while the people who ordered before me were getting their food. While I was waiting for my food at the window stand, they had a coked out worker just bothering my partner until I had to walk back to the table & ask him to leave her alone. Tacos have zero flavor anyways, take your money elsewhere.

Ok you guys, ooooooooook! I don't want to be rude buuuut. Let me put it this way, any 956er would tell you that this doesn't taste like the 956. At least not last week it didn't. Idk that it's necessarily something you're ever going to crave again but worth trying once if you're curious. Taco on left was 3.50 on right 4.50. they're Quesadilla was probably more worth the penny. Service was meh not friendly at all

The best tacos I have had in a long time. I got the pastor and bistec street tacos. As well as, the beans. Heaven on earth is the only way to describe it.

Unfortunately the flavor is not there anymore. I hadn't been there in a while and was sadly disappointed when I recently had the bistek mini street tacos. The green salsa also had NO kick to it. Idk if moving to the gentrified area made them have to tweek flavors and spice but very bland. I'm from the valley and remember being excited I had found this place when they used to be on Brodie. The taste used to be true and almost like Matamoros tacos. Now they're far from it. The beans were also just okay. They're doctored canned beans. If they think they can pass those off as fresh charro is extremely disappointing. Too bad for those folks that don't know any better. They used to be fresh charro beans early on. Just a sad day because I wont be going back again. Wish they'd bring back the true valley taco flavor it once had.

Yesterday, I went with my family to order a lime-flavored ice cream for my daughter. For some reason, we received a lemon-cucumber Italian ice instead. I informed the employee that this was not what I ordered, but she responded in a rude and defensive manner, claiming I hadn’t specified the flavor (which I clearly did). Eventually, they provided us with the correct ice cream, but they still charged us for both the Italian ice, which was more expensive than what I wanted, and the lime ice cream I originally ordered. I didn’t complain further at the time because I was concerned they might tamper with my order.
Customers shouldn’t have to pay for employees’ incompetence. The customer service was extremely poor, and as a result, I will not be returning. I used to be a frequent customer, but this experience has changed my perspective.

It took 40 minutes to get two tacos to go at 1:30pm on a Sunday.

The quesatacos (pastor & bistec) are top notch! The tortillas and salsa verde were honestly the best part. We also tried the beef flautas, and they were fantastic. I’ve been looking for a good spot in Austin that makes authentic Mexican tacos and flautas, and I finally found it!

The staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming; however I did get incredibly sick from the food. I do not tend to get sick easily and this was the only thing that had tasted a bit off. I will not be back.

I ordered the flautas.... they were terrible and I got really sick off from them. The meat tasted off but the person I was with thought it was just so deeply fried and that's what I was tasting. It wasn't....I got super nauseated and couldn't stop vomiting.
