Péché is a cozy, vintage-style cocktail bar and French restaurant that oozes charm. The cocktails are crafted with care — balanced, creative, and strong in all the right ways. The food is rich and indulgent, from the duck confit to the mac & cheese with truffle oil. It’s dimly lit, romantic, and full of character — the perfect spot for a late-night drink or intimate dinner.

Found this spot on Resy near my favorite spots in Austin. My spouse had the ragu which was incredible. Sadly the ribeye was a huge disappointment. I know Péché is not a steakhouse, but I cannot overstate the poor quality of the beef. All of the flavor was in the sauce, which was acceptable if a little overcompensating. The ribeye itself had no flavor -- not a hint of it. The absinthe was a neat experience. They do not do anything special for couples celebrating their anniversary (which is not a requirement of course), but other than the ribeye quality issue, I was happy to check it out.

Had a night out at Péché and it was spectacular — the duck confit melted in my mouth, and their moules frites were served in a silky butter broth with perfectly crisp fries. The bouillabaisse also stood out — full of fresh seafood and a fragrant broth.
The cocktail program is top tier (they’re Austin’s first absinthe bar) — I tried their Fig Manhattan and a Corpse Reviver #2 — both were artful and balanced. The dim, vintage-speakeasy vibe plus attentive, knowledgeable staff made the evening feel special.

I learn about my pallet ever time I eat somewhere new. Its a beautiful thing. The deviled eggs, orzo, and salads were great. On the other hand The charcuterie tray looks like a designer dog and cat food plate then I turned around and saw people eating bone marrow out of a bone like my dogs do. I get it okay it’s probably a fancy thing acquired taste and all but for me feeling like I was eating the same food that looks and smells like cat and dog food grossed me out. Get the deviled eggs and blueberry crepes or just keep walking. Cute atmosphere, gave them a 4 for that and its a hopping place.

Nice spot with exceptional customer service. The portions are small and price tag is steep. Good overall experience in spite of the price tag.

Péché has excellent service and a really enjoyable atmosphere. We had the French onion soup (good, sweeter onions), quail with wild rice (good but hard to eat in the dim lighting), Iberico pork chop (amazing, the glaze is 🔥), and bananas foster (SO.DARN.TASTY).
I would highly recommend giving it a try. I myself will be back many times.

It was lovely having the owner Rob come to each table to speak to everyone. He is such a kind man and gave myself and my husband great recommendations.
Our waiter Thomas was great and also spent the time to talk with us and also gave great recommendations
We ordered French onion soup, Escargot, ragu and duck confit.
Can’t wait to come back! Thank you Rob and Thomas for providing my husband and I a great date night
