Interesting menu. More interesting cocktails.
Duck confit is great. Not enough creme brulee.

Unfortunately we went back tonight and the restaurant was closed for a private event. We waited in the literal freezing weather for 5 minutes trying to get in but then they told us they are closed until Monday because of the cold weather. Why did we brave the cold and ice? Just to show up to a closed place? Terrible!

Péché is one of those downtown Austin spots that feels like a hidden gem—dim lighting, old-school charm, and a serious cocktail program. The absinthe focus is fun (and the bartenders actually explain what you’re drinking), but it’s not just about the drinks.

This place was such a treat. Patrick, our server, brought real warmth to the night. He walked us through everything, answered our basic questions without any attitude, and made us feel comfortable the whole time.
The food was excellent and full of flavor. The atmosphere made it feel like a special night out without trying too hard.
If you want great food, a beautiful setting, and service that actually cares, this is the spot.

Stopped in here on a whim during happy hour and it was the best decision. We were able to get lots of delicious cocktails for just $6! The staff were very attentive and kind. They were accommodating to our large group. We also got a few appetizers which came with great serving sizes. Would definitely recommend this place for dinner, drinks, etc…

The food was spectacular! With dishes like Rabbit that we don’t find often elsewhere. The service was fine and the atmosphere was a pub style that I felt didn’t match the food but I probably am just not used to that concept. Definitely a great place to visit!

Half-pound burgers were awesome, and based on burgers we ordered, and seeing other people's food it's easy to tell they don't hold back on giving us a great portion of food, one is enough to make you full, service was absolutely great, only bad thing was that we came without reservation and couldn't get a table, but sitting at the bar wasn't bad, it was amusing seeing the barman work

I had a really disappointing experience at Péché. I placed a simple to-go order, and when I chose not to leave a tip (since there was no table service), the staff pressured me about it and made me feel uncomfortable. They even refused to let me stand near the bar while I waited, which felt incredibly rude and unwelcoming. No customer should be treated this way. Definitely not a place I’d return to or recommend.

My lady and I came here for happy hour and were treated to excellent service from Ashley who was hosting and serving 👏 cocktails were top notch, the Pink Moon was our favorite. The Mac n cheese and tuna tartar were perfect starters, and we split the burger. The house made fries and ketchup really set the bar. We will be back!

The food was excellent! We tried the stick tartar for the first time and it was really good! The texture was a lot better than I would have thought and the flavor was great! I also appreciated the arugula with it. I had the scallops and my partner had the quail and they were both very great.

My husband took me here for my 40th birthday dinner this evening, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We’ve been wanting to check it out for a while now and I’m so glad we finally did!
We started with the mushroom fritters served with crème fraiche which were delicious! Perfectly fried with a creamy, not too rich, center. We also split the haricot vert salad with green beans, pickled cauliflower, diced tomatoes, sliced almonds, feta and bacon (lardons) which they put on the side as I don’t care for bacon. It’s lightly tossed in a creamy Dijon dressing which complimented very nicely and wasn’t over dressed.
My husband went with wild mushroom and rabbit crepes for his entree which sounded too intriguing to pass up! He described them as French enchiladas! 😆 The rabbit has shredded chicken vibes and the moutarde sauce rounded out the dish nicely.
Lastly, I had the duck confit with red cabbage, apple & Dijon cream sauce. Absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this dish! But here’s the part that took it to the next level… I broke my elbow 6 days ago on my dominant side and cutting my food has been a bit tricky. The chef deboned my duck for me making it much easier for me to enjoy my meal! He did not have to do that, but he took the extra time to make me comfortable and make it so my husband didn’t have to disrupt his dining experience in order to do it for me. Chef, I hope you see this review, it was greatly appreciated! Thank you for going above and beyond! 🫶🏼
All in all we were very impressed with the quality of food, the care and the service! I look forward to a return visit and trying more their beautiful menu!

This is one of my favorite restaurants downtown. It's classy but laidback. The drinks are well made and the food is good.

The ambience replicates a cozy french bistro or oenothèque pretty genuinely, doesn't feel like so many yuppie restaurants.
Rich and meat-centric French & french inspired food choices, all delicious. The drinks were absolutely phenomenal; cocktail wise Husband had a corpse reviver, the owner recommended an OG cognac based Sazerac & a 'Monk & Saints'...phenomenal. lThe owner Rob is a charming and passionate restauranteur, a dying breed. Will come back when we're in Austin next.

We had the pleasure of eating here last weekend. I had the braised short rib and my husband had the steak, we also had the beef tartare as an appetizer. The cocktails and food were delicious and our server Pat was a true professional. He did not miss a beat. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Austin area.
