Owners need work on their management of keeping this place clean. There should be ZERO excuses for this ... These vents are DIRECTLY over the food.

They give you small plastic forks like children's and they don't clean the tables nor do they want to give you a tray or plate. I'm very expensive.

Torta were ok, Not great but not bad but worth the price. Got the milanesa torta. I also got a few different pastrys and no matter which one I seem to get they were hard I got one and when i tasted it, it seemed over a day old. I went on a Saturday so thought it would be fresher.

(Translated by Google) Very bad service, they take a long time, they do not take an order in the food, I asked and they gave me my order that was only for one person three orders back. Also questions and they answer you reluctantly. We all have problems but we must be aware that the rest of us are not to blame.(Original)Muy mal servicio, tardan mucho, no llevan un orden en los alimentos, pedí y me dieron mi orden que era solo para una persona tres ordenes atrás. Además preguntas y te contestan de mala gana.Todos tenemos problemas pero debemos de ser consientes que los demás no tenemos la culpa

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately I can't give it a good review. The bread is old and expensive, the food is not good and the tables are dirty.(Original)Lamentablemente no puedo darle un buen review. El pan es viejo y caro, la comida no es buena y las mesas están sucias.

I had a pretty good time checking this place out. Through a chain of events I missed the exit to my golds gym. Seeing the traffic going south there was no way I was back tracking so I gps'd the next closest Golds and went there. It shared a parking lot with Panderia Chuy's. After my workout I decided I needed to check this place out, I know, I know. As soon as I walked in it smelled great and I saw all the fresh pan being put in the display. I picked up a tray and brought it home to the family! Everything was great, I will defiantly be back.

This place has some great food. Coming from a border city I would say it's as close to Mexican food as I can find here in Austin. The tacos and the tortas are delicious, however, the sweet bread is kinda of a hit or miss. The cashier were really nice and friendly. The girls serving the sweet bread were not. They seemed annoyed and I saw one of them roll her eyes at a customer in front of me. It makes sense since I previously saw another yelp review saying something similar about these girls. If they could just get rid of them, that'd be great. Other then that I do recommend if you're looking for some authentic Mexican food.

Tried this place for the first time at 9:30 at night. It was still open and full of people. Very sanitary and the breads and desserts were so fresh. I originally thought that the concha and Mexican desserts were hard and try but this place disproved my initial impressions from either Fiesta or other Mexican Markets. Most breads were very inexpensive. $1.00 each or so which is cheaper than Asian Bakeries (Generally $2.99 per bread) and especially going to an American Grocery ($3.99 per bread) store. I saw that they also have items for lunch, tacos, platos, etc. I would love to support and try it out. I had the concha, beso, and what looked like a small flat muffin shape pound cake with the top dipped in chocolate, harden and a whop of fresh whipped cream (taste like Starbucks Homemade Whipped Cream) on top + cherry. :) Don't be hesitant since it's not a Whole Foods or the HEB Grocery shop. Try it. In-taking different food cultures, especially this one, can be a glorious thing.

Don't get the breakfast tacos!!! Had three tacos with bacon in them and the bacon was all fat!! Also very small amounts in their tacos. Wait staff was rude and didn't even tell us our food was ready. Save yourself the time and money and go to the taco cabana across the street, you'll get way better tasting and bigger tacos in less time. The sweets look good though!

This bakery is huge!! You no longer have to drive to San Antonio for authentic Mexican baked goods. This South Austin bakery is a gem. I can't believe I passed by it many times without giving it a glance. Be prepared for a sugar overload b/c there is no such thing as diet when you walk in. The pastries are affordable. There are so many to choice from that it can be a bit overwhelming. They have another section of the bakery that seems to sell food....which I haven't tried. Definitely check them out the next time you get a Mexican bread craving!
