For a late night slice after an evening of bar hopping and music, this was perfect! For a perfect night, stop by Voodoo's after for donuts!

The Backspace was highly recommended by a colleague while my wife and I were visiting Austin. A bit of a rough start (we had a reservation, which was given to someone else, but the hostess did a great job to make it right). The food was very good. However, the place is very small (~10 tables) and it was very, very loud (6pm on a Saturday night).

This establishment is wonderful. The food is delicious. Gabriel Culiat believes the customer service is top notch. I'll definitely be back in the future

Small bites, salads and pizza make this a fine choice. Reserve or get there early. It generally is busy. Service is friendly.

There is only space for 15 or 20 folks here, but the food is fantastic, service was welcoming and accommodating. Excellent desserts and wine options, excellent pizza, nice starters. Location close to 6th street without the noise and bother.

I wasn't expecting what we got when we came here. It is a small quiet location with only a handful of tables inside. We ordered a couple of pizzas and a salad, and boy did it hit the spot. They used fresh ingredients and had friendly service. They know their wine, but don't go here if you want to have beer. I would say this place is a hidden gem, and if it got too busy you'd have to wait for a long time. The pizza was a bit slow to come out but if you are enjoying your wine you might not care.

This cute restaurant was recommended by a friend - lucky because, neatly tucked in a side alley just off 6th Street, we wouldn't have found it otherwise. We sat at the bar and had a great dinner! The pizza was delicious, tasty, thin-crusted - all ingredients clearly very fresh. The wines were good too. Service was just right. I wasn't a big fan of my chosen dessert, but that is due more to my personal taste than to the quality of the dish. I will definitely return to the Backspace next time I am in Austin.
Margherita Pizza is my goto, it was perfect. I also had the lamb meatballs. I loved how they were cooked in the crock all the sauce and cheese all over the top. The girl who waited on me was friendly, attentive and had multiple tables arriving at once and not once did I have to wait for anything.

I did not like. I found it expensive for the quality of the product.

I'm Italian, so you can take my word for it. Backspace makes not only the best pizza I've ever eaten in the US, but a pizza that would be high standard in Italy too and I mean it. Truly a gem. Thank you.

$5 for an awful slice. Too much dough, not hit, low on cheese, and the first slice I’ve ever had that needed salt. Never again.
This place is permanently closed.
