Delish pastries and lovely staff!
everything was just okay.. the food/service/seating. Went for the paperboy pancake but it was more like cornbread, than flour like typical pancakes. I enjoyed the Paperboy Paloma but even the location/seating was okay. Parking limited & the outdoor seating had shades drawn down to block the sun so you didn't really feel rooftop gives. Overall, not impressed.
Just came for a drink, the wait at the bar was 30 mins, but I was able to order a bloody Mary at the to go window and drink it outside.

We’ve eaten here twice now and we’d say this is a good breakfast spot. Reservations are recommended, walk in can be risky here since the restaurant is small and they have reached wait list capacity before. We’ve had the cinnamon toast, b.e.c. sandwich, migas with carnitas, chicken & biscuit, and jalapeño and cheddar biscuits and all have been good. I would not recommend any alcoholic drinks (tasted like non alcoholic & expensive) and just stick to the coffee. Service can also be hit or miss here with frequency of check ins, refilling coffee, and removal of plates so the table isn’t crowded. Atmosphere wise the tables can be close together where everyone can really hear conversation. Overall we’d come back on a whim, but we wouldn’t book it months in advance to come back.

Enjoyed the food for our large group but everything took quite a while to come out. As long as you're not in a rush, it's worth it. :)
Paperboy East is a top-tier brunch spot that consistently delivers both on food and atmosphere. The menu is creative without being confusing, with well-executed classics and a few standout specials that feel worth the hype. Everything we ordered was fresh, nicely balanced, and clearly made with quality ingredients, and the portions felt fair for the $20–30 range. The space has a lively, modern vibe that works well for groups, and the staff stayed friendly and efficient even during a busy rush. Expect a wait at peak times, but the overall experience makes it a place you’ll want to return to.

Restaurantji Recommends
Definitely recommend.
Food was not memorable - steak in ‘steak and eggs' was way over-spiced (not too spicy but just too much of a good thing) and the kale salad was just OK. Service was nicely attentive. Two to three stars tops.
It was a decent brunch.
I wouldn't put it on any top 10 list though.
Decent price though.
Under genuine over kindness by the staff.

I had the best experience at Paperboy! I had the BEC sandwich, cheddar hash brown, and black sesame latte—everything was absolutely perfect and so delicious. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and super helpful when it came to deciding what to order. I highly recommend it!

The hype is real!! We got the migas and steak sandwich, and received a free cinnamon toast for my birthday. The first bite of that toast may have been the best bite of any food I’ve had recently—crisp, caramelized toast covered with tangy, buttery, and not-too-sweet mascarpone spread, topped with a salty and sweet walnut streudel. Chefs kiss! We’re super excited to try the chicken and biscuits next time since we saw them at another table and they looked absolutely amazing!!
