I had dinner at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen and really enjoyed the experience. I started with the Roasted Oysters and Fried Calamari & Octopus, both came out hot and flavorful. For the main course, I went with the Texas Redfish Pontchartrain (pan-grilled redfish with crab, shrimp & brown butter wine sauce) and a side of dirty rice, which paired beautifully.

The ambiance feels upscale but still welcoming — dark wood interiors, comfortable seating, and a lively buzz. The staff were professional and helpful, recommending dishes and keeping things moving without rushing us. I’ll definitely go back to try the Mardi Gras Linguine or Crab & Spinach Dip next time.

I took my son's here while we were in town for a game; I had wanted to take them for some time for good seafood. It is always going to be a bit spendy but the quality is generally the same at any of the pappas restaurants and this did not fail to meet that standard. Great service, knowledgeable server, knew the menu like the back of his hand and when asked for a recommendation it was personalized down to how busy they were and the food was delicious....so why 4 stars....

This no longer feels like a lousianna restaurant. Gone are the seafood boils, frog legs and snails. Now there is gator but it tastes closer to a Asian Mexican fusion than anything. This now just seams like a seafood restaurant... You may ask is that not a bad thing? No per day, but the pappa brands were always based on their specific culinary niche and I wanted to give my kids some great and adventurous dishes from lousianna and found little of it on the menu anymore. Sad. I may come to a pappaduex again... But thats barely a maybe now, kind of sad

The food here is always amazing — no complaints at all about that! 👏
But I do want to share one concern as a parent and especially if we spend $200 for 2 there’s only one family room, and it’s the only place with a baby changing table. Today, my baby had a blowout, and I ended up waiting about 15 minutes in the hallway because an employee (female) was using the family room and no she didn’t even have a child with her & the women’s restroom was perfectly clean and empty.

If employees need to use the family room, please consider adding a changing table in the women’s restroom as well. It’s stressful enough managing a little one during meals, and this would really help parents like us. (Especially a 5 month postpartum mamma who still likes to try and have a good meal)

Otherwise, the food and service are great — just hoping management can take a look at this. Thank you! 🙏

Service was terrible, hostess was distance, didn't greet or even give us cutlery, or menus. when food was served. I walked to podium to get the silverware. She looked at me with an angry stare, it made me wonder, do I know you?? Do we have a problem??

The youngman that brought the drinks, spill & just walked away, I asked him for a napkin, he just kept walking & never returned.

Jessica said, he was new, even a new person knows to wipe a spill.

.Jessica did her best to salvage the visit, but it was alot negatives to rescue a lousy service, she got her 20% tip because of her service. We were fair to her, food was mixed, mine was great, my grandson who's not picky, didn't like his crabs, he hated the platter. MY Daughter's red snapper was not well seared, she took it home to finish cooking in air fryer.

It's a no return. Someone outta know, we eat with our eyes and feel of good service before our mouths, do better!

If I am spending 250$ on a dinner, I expect better.

I recommend everything. I’m at the one at I-35 and 290 in Austin Texas. I used to come all the time back in 2008 when I lived here. To my surprise on a work trip it was next door to the hotel. I’ve since developed Gluten allergies and my undying craving for crawfish was being disappointed until the very sweet bartender said we can work with this. Let’s find some options and I’ll get the manager and figure it out. The result was awesome!! Sautéed in butter and seasoning with a baked potato. Fantastic! Help from the bartender the manager and kitchen saved the day!!!! Craving well satisfied. I can’t recommend enough. Great food. Amazing staff, beautiful ambience.. excellent experience. Thank you!!!

I love the lunch section of this place! We usually go after church at 12 noon and haven't had any issue finding seating. The lunch menu is available every day even on weekends if you prefer cheaper meals. It seems like regular entrees are 30+ per person but lunch is around 20 per person. The food and service is worth it though. Lots of flavor and I can tell the seafood is fresh and of good quality.
