Expensive, they have subbed chicken in place of stuffed shrimp on seafood platter. No hushpuppies and fried in cottonseed oil, the worst of them all. I haven't been in 10 years, went just to check out again. So disappointed. No hit here for service, guy did great.

On February 27th, we had a very very poor experience. As longtime patrons who have spent at least $1,000 per month at this location over the past year, we have always considered Pappadeaux a favorite for hosting our employees, family, and business partners. Our most recent visit was so unprofessional and unaccommodating that we have decided to no longer eat at Pappadeaux.

Upon arrival, we noticed that the restaurant was relatively slow, with numerous open booths available. We were initially escorted past multiple open booths and seated at a small table in the middle of the dining floor. When we politely requested to be moved to a booth, the hostess left us standing in the middle of the restaurant, only to return and inform us that we could only be seated at our original table. Given the number of available booths, we asked if someone else could assist us.

The manager then came over and informed us that if we wanted a booth, we would need to wait over an hour—despite an empty booth being just a few feet away. The unwillingness to accommodate a reasonable request in a slow restaurant was not only inconvenient, but also dismissive and unprofessional. I have managed restaurants myself, and I find this kind of treatment unacceptable.

Feeling uncomfortable with how the situation was handled, we left and dined at another establishment outisde the "pappa chains" where we had a much better experience. Unfortunately, given this incident, we have decided not to return to this location. We valued Pappadeaux as a go-to dining option, but the lack of customer service and hospitality during this visit has changed our perspective.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no customer, especially a longtime, high-spending one should feel disregarded in such a manner. I would appreciate a response regarding how this issue will be addressed.

I’ve been to Pappadeaux‘s from different states however me and my significant other were visiting Austin and we came here. The Parmesan garlic bread is a great starter. I got the strawberry lemonade to start out which was great. I had the seafood pasta in my significant other had a ribeye with broccolini and a baked potato. Pappadeaux is pretty standard. If you’re looking for like some Cajun seafood cuisine I’m definitely stop by. We were satisfied with our meal.

This is my favorite restaurant for more than 10 years but there is an appetizer that goes into decline every day and it is one of those that simply characterizes this place, many of us return for it, in my particular case, (baked crab cake) it no longer just triples its value if not that it doesn't even have the long thin strips of potatoes, nor the thick sauce, nor that spectacular presentation, it's just the sad croquette and some peas that present us with this very sad dish, the truth is that such a place is going into decline. spectacular The same thing happened with the shrimp cocktail that was previously served in a glass, just looking at it was tempting every day it sadly gets worse, I hope next time I don't suffer more disappointment

I went to eat at pappadeaux on 290/IH 35 in Austin TX. Why in the hell was on of the workers sweeping the floor next to our table, dust flying in the air. I politely ask him to not sweep while we're eating. This kid got an attitude. I requested a manager (Darrylle) he acted like I was normal. I'll never eat there again! People inspect your food before you eat

Usually come here once a month. Sunday, we realize the price increase to eight dollars extra and the plate sizes for dinner are now the lunch sizes that existed. One will not need a To Go box Because you will not. have leftovers any longer and your wallet will be lighter, disappointing. Hopefully this translate that the waiters and staff will benefit from this price increase.

We stopped at the Pappadeaux‘s on 35 in Austin.our server Jackie was great. Surprisingly I ordered steak broccolini and baked potato. The steak was cooked with perfection. My wife ordered crabcake which she loved. The drinks were surprisingly not watered down and I was surprised I was not able to drink two peach-sidecar. If you’re ever in the Austin area off of 35 stop at the Pappadeaux‘s service was great.

The Seafood wasn't that great. I come from Jacksonville, Florida. The fish didn't taste fresh. I will never travel an hr again for this restaurant. Truly disappointed.

Food and service are always good. I had the seafood gumbo and alligator. Happy Hour menu has changed, and seems a little sparse. The frozen machine wasn't working, so I couldn't get my swampthing☹️. The peach situation I had was a good alternative.
