Overpriced and mediocre. For the amount they charge, one should expect top shelf meals, but what we get is similar to Red Lobster. Not bad, actually pretty good, just not worth $60 a seating.

Pappadeaux is hands-down my favorite restaurant, and whenever I travel to a new state, it's the first place I look for. That’s why I’m so disappointed to say that this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any Pappadeaux location.
From the moment we walked in, the tone was off. The hostess didn’t greet us with a smile or even a simple “welcome.” Instead, she just said “follow me” — no warmth, no hospitality.
We sat at our table for 21 minutes before anyone came over. When our server (later learned his name was Sterling) finally approached, he didn’t introduce himself, hand us menus, or offer any pleasantries. He simply asked what we wanted to drink. Throughout the meal, we had to ask for drink refills and condiments multiple times — basic things that should be proactively offered.
The one bright spot was the manager who came over to acknowledge the delay and offered us a free dessert. I appreciated that gesture. However, as someone who works as a senior leader in hospitality, I understand how critical good service is to the overall experience — and this location is clearly missing the mark.
Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this location. It simply did not meet the standards I’ve come to love and expect from the Pappadeaux brand. Very disappointing

My wife and I came here with another couple for a birthday. We really enjoyed the food and the service. The I had the filet oscar the steak was cooked perfectly how I asked and the baked potato was huge. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. My only small complaint is the table size. For 4 people the table gets very crowded with drinks and plates and had to move the salt and sugar off the table. Will definitely be back though!

Pappadeaux is and will always be one of my favorite places to eat, when I visit a city that has a one of their restaurants in. I never mind spending money for food when I visit this chain of restaurants and I have eaten at one of their restaurant in the Dallas - Ft. Worth metroplex and in Austin! You may spend a few dollars but it well worth the trip to eat there! 😋🤤

Visited this Pappadeaux in Austin in April. It was close to our hotel, and we waited for it to open in the parking lot. The food and service were both okay—nothing outstanding, but nothing to complain about either. However, the restaurant itself could really use a thorough cleaning. While the dining experience was passable, it was hard to fully enjoy the meal given the noticeable need for better upkeep around the facility. We sat in a booth, and I could not help but notice the dust accumulated around little light on the table, it looks as if it had not been wiped down in a while (if ever). I am not sure if I will return simply because the things I can see are not clean who knows what is going on for the things I cannot see. Do not get me wrong other Pappadeaux are not like this, it seems to be unique to this location. Usually, the food is really good, but my party all agreed the food was just okay and that we should have selected another place for brunch.

I always get the Captains plate, fried catfish, stuffed crab, stuffed shrimp, fried shrimp and fried oysters on a huge bed of French fries !! Unbelievably fantastic. Awesome bread and butter served too. This trip had a dozen blue point oysters, sweet and delicious.

to go out to eat together once a month and our place is papadeaux. That ends today, while the food was delicious the service was TERRIBLE. The server was also the bartender “Carlos” who made it clear upon greeting us he was too good to wait tables. He asked us for our order and when I was asking my friend a question about the sides he walked off so annoyed we took 30 seconds. When our food did arrive he never checked on us. He was too busy talking to servers in the well. I need hot sauce to eat and the bread was gone. I finally had to get up to ask for hot sauce, lemon, and more bread. By that time my food was cold and my friend was finished. I don’t know what about us made him feel like severing us was annoying. We weren’t even offered desert (that we wanted) and just dropped the check but by that time I was ready to leave. Never once smiled, in fact he looked angry the entire time. It made us feel small. Maybe he doesn’t like working there. It made for a very unpleasant dining experience. It was just an end of an era. The restaurant isn’t close to us and we still made the trek. Driving 40 minutes to be treated bad adds insult to injury.
