First time. Pleasant ambience, all service personnel were excellent. Oysters on the half shell extraordinary. Main dishes, one wonderful, one basically inedible. The Shrimp and Grits:(New Orleans-Style BBQ Shrimp & Stone Ground Grits 33 Creole Lemon Butter, Poached Egg*, Fines Herbs) was so spicy it was inedible, and the shrimp themselves were like rubber. Oyster shooter was overly spicy, but the Crab Florentine was exquisite (Crab Florentine* 37 English Muffin, Poached Eggs, Lump Crab, Griddled Tomato, Lemon Spinach, Hollandaise). Very much a mixed bag!

Perla's is always great - great service, food, wine/drinks - the whole ball of wax. It can get very noisy as everyone in the restaurant is enjoying themselves; but, the noise level is worth it when taking everything else into account from food to drink to staff to management itself.

The food is very rich. And overpriced. Food came out quickly but our waiter seemed impersonal - his eye contact was always fleeting, I could feel that he was in a hurry. Tables are close together. I won't be rushing to return.

Came here with my partner for our anniversary dinner, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance of the establishment. We made dinner reservations on a Friday evening and were seated in the patio, which was well-lit and elegantly decorated. We particularly enjoyed the ahí tuna and mussels, which were equally delectable. We extend our sincere gratitude for making our evening truly delightful.

Love Perla's. The food is great, staff is pleasant, and overall good vibe every time I go. They have live music sometimes and their crawfish boil is good. Looking forward to the crawfish this year! Higher end of cost but worth it splurging for.

I’m from Dallas and I stop in every time in Austin. Love the oysters, lobster roll, pear tart, okras, & the ahi tostadas! The creamy lobster paste is really rich & great to share. The outdoor patio is the best for my service dog & other furry friends.
