I got the shrimp spring roll and bun bo Hue. The bun bo Hue broth was flavorful. I have to admit their bbh beats any bbh places in Houston. However, I didn’t like the shrimp spring roll at all. There was no pork in the spring roll like you would expect. The rolls were mainly vermicelli so you’re paying $6 for 2 rolls of vermicelli and 4 shrimps. The sauce was overly sweet with a weird taste like it’s been refrigerated for a long time.
I would go back to try other dishes, preferably during much cooler temperature even though the weather was high 80s when I went. I hate mosquitoes and flies buzzing around.
Fantastic food and atmosphere. I loved the com ga and bun bo hue. The food was authentic and flavorful. The owner, Co Bao, was super nice and friendly. I can’t wait to visit this place again to try more of their fantastic dishes.
Best Vietnamese food I have had in Austin. I loved everything I ordered. Lemonade was great. Taro boba Tea was amazing. The owners were sooo nice and we will be returning.

The food is good, quite similar to most places. However, the portion is smaller, this does not matter to me as I don’t eat a lot but just highlight for others.
I’m not sure if they position themselves as a food truck (as they cook and serve from a truck) or as a normal restaurant. There’s plenty of seating with plants, music… but the door is open so it felt like outside. It’s quite miserable eating a hot bowl of noodles in this condition.
What I don’t like is the utensils and how they serve the food. Probably they want diners to clean up and throw everything afterwards so they serve everything like togo orders. It’s just not convenient to eat with these tiny plastic spoons and knife. I would vote 5 if they serve the food in normal bowl, plates… and using normal utensils.

This is my preferred Pho go to place. Probably the best broth I have had. I usually add hoisin and siracha to my pho, but this broth is so good it doesn’t need anything added.
The lady, that I believe owns or co-owns the restaurant with her husband, was even kind enough to make my husband a special order of chicken fresh rolls vs the shrimp option they have on the menu. We would love chicken to be an option on the regular, but he was very happy to have them made for him. Thank you!
The only part I didn’t enjoy was how many mosquitoes come to bite you while you sit and eat. Maybe some sort of screening would be helpful. Otherwise, I enjoy the openness and the laidback atmosphere!

Cool spot. Will be better in winter. Flies and mosquitoes are biting me a lot. Good spring roll. Excellent tropical tangy flavor in peanut sauce. Tamarind? Bon Bo Hue is solid. Calamari overly fried. Fresh ingredients. A little pricey. Will return.
