Hidden away. Easy to find. What is it with deeply chipped Pho bowls? PHONATICS and Pho Tin serve pho in badly chipped bowls. In my culture, it is bad luck to serve food in broken or chipped dishes. Owners TAKE NOTE. Pho was okay. Noodles had odd taste and chicken was not fully cooked. Stomach has gurgled ever since. But I will find my Austin pho. Will keep looking and tasting.

It's definitely the best pho and egg rolls I've had in a while. I had the Steak Garlic. All the food was nice and hot. The owners are great people, great conversation. The atmosphere is great! I'm definitely coming back when I'm in the area.

Where is everyone?!? This is the best Pho I've had in Austin yet every time I eat here the place is empty. This city is sleeping on this incredible find!

It’s was hot like no A/C was on it was cluttered I was scared of roachs and rats tbh. I didn’t see any as I walked to the restroom in the way back so I decided to dine. The glasses and silverware was dirty the establishment can be great with this great location with love and care from owners and staff!! Take pride in what you do people!

I’ve been here a few times and got the beef pho. Each time it was good. The beef is sautéed well and peppered. The broth is flavorful and doesn’t even need sauce. It’s a good portion.
Usually, the worker will bring the receipt to the table without asking. You can pay at the front when you’re done or they might come back around and collect your card.

i have been coming here since i moved to Austin 10+ years ago and it used to be very good and always had lots of customers. I went there recently and it completely changed. Was totally empty and the menus were different and the food was horrible. It was equivalent to the left overs you eat the day after a good meal. The Vermicelli section of the menu is now 'noodle bowls' and i know why they now call it that. It is because they are missing half of the ingredients of an actual vermicelli bowl. Extremely disappointed and wont be going back.

Very disappointed, I wish I had read the most recent reviews before heading over. We used to come here all the time specifically for shaken beef. It was great! Was is the keyword here. Came here and did not think much about the name change. Ordered shaken beef and was rudely surprised of how bad it was. The meat is so low quality and tough, it should be a considered fraud to serve it at all even more so for $18! It was horrible!
Plates were chipped, and I had a piece of lemon grass dried and stuck on my glass of water.
Do yourself a favor, take your dollars elsewhere and wait patiently until this place goes under and hopefully replaced with a better restaurant hopefully worthy of the location and your dollars.
There are so many good restaurant options in Austin, those who don’t strive to be the best will not last long!

I wish I had photos to share, but we didn’t leave any scraps to photograph
Im so saddened to see how downhill this place has gone. I used to love to eat here years ago and today the service was confusing and the meat quality was not good and the dishes didn’t feel appropriate for the price. So disappointed

I love this place, definitely underrated, super high-quality food. The taste is like a shady taco truck, but you know that’s gonna be the best food you’ve ever tasted.

It's good pho, the best in the neighborhood. I would order it more often, but I prefer to order online and they add a $1.75 "convenience fee" to online orders. This is higher than the add-on doordash pickup fee of $.50.
Consequently, I often order from phonatic across the street since they don't charge a fee for online ordering and it's a tad cheaper already. I would prefer to order from pho tin, as I think it's slightly better, but the inconvenient "convenience fee" feels like I'm paying for the privilege of the restaurants convenience, not my own. Web ordering/hosting/IT fees are a cost of business and shouldn't be passed on to customers in my opinion. If they removed the fee, they'd get more business from me. If you don't care about junk fees...then by all means, enjoy! as the food is really good. But I'm tapped out on being asked to tip when I didn't recieve service and/or paying for "convenience". I'm trying to buy pho, not events thru ticket master.

I ordered the beef combo Pho. Portion size is very small for the price. Based on this alone I would not recommend this.
This is my favorite place for pho is Austin. Everything I"ve ever eaten there has been delicious. Can't recommend them enough!
