Update on a previous 5 star review. We have been going here for 5 years, but unfortunately dont want to go back. We love the quality of the ingredients and mission but the past 3 visits it's been getting worse. The quality is inconsistent, the beer is extremely expensive, the portion size are much smaller and the staff seem not happy to be there so the service is not great and we feel rushed. Not worth the price like it used to be

One of my favorite spots in Austin! Everything is gluten free and extremely delicious! I highly recommend the smashed potato nachos, the queso, the chicken tenders, the crispy chicken bowl, the hot honey sandwich, the Cobb salad, the list goes on. We’ve also come in for breakfast and LOVED the biscuits!

An awesome gluten-free place to eat that isn’t overly expensive. $40 for two in 2026 is not bad. Its a good and fair price especially when you consider it’s all gluten-free specialized food. The waitress was also very nice.

Over marinated mushrooms, 1 tablespoon of rice in the middle of plate kimchi was just a spoonful of cucumbers about 4 tablespoons of jalapeños to fill the plate and an egg on top to hide everything.
Just awful! $21.00 for what?

We’re from the Houston area and really miss the one we had here. So, when we travel to Austin, we try to make a point to stop in. After traveling (day before Thanksgiving), we stopped in for a bite. This was our 2nd time visiting in an 8 month period while traveling Austin.

We were immediately seated. The vibe felt really weird, because they sorted migrated everyone to one section of the restaurant. We did notice a couple seat themselves later on. After the trip, we all needed a potty break. The ladies restroom was very dark, with only one or two lights working. The stalls were very dark. It was kinda creepy.

We returned to our seats and a lady (black with curly hair) stopped over. She introduced herself and the gentleman she was training. The vibe seemed off. We seemed rushed and no genuine concern about what we wanted. No small talk…just wanted to take our order. My daughter ordered a hibiscus mint drink and the rest of us had water.

The drinks came and the meal orders were taken. Midways into drinking, my daughter noticed a blonde hair on her straw. We alerted the trainee and he seemed genuinely concerned. He took it to the trainer and we overheard her say, “It’s okay. Just go get her another one.”

The drink was replaced (no words said) and we sat and waited a while (long while) for our food. The trainer came back and asked if we wanted to get more chips for our queso. I said, “we would like to know when our food will be out.” She responded with, “It’ll be out when it’s ready”. I said, oh I see…we throwing a little shade, huh?”

Food was brought out about 8 minutes later. Everyone ate their meal, although we all agreed that it was just mediocre.

The trainer returned with our tab and stated that the tool off for our appetizer and the hair in the drink.

While we appreciate the gesture, the service for us was not pleasant and definitely not what we experienced in Houston. Having been diagnosed with celiac, this restaurant is a safe have for me.

However, I doubt that we’ll return. There are other gluten free places to eat (The Well) in the Austin area.

I truly hope the person she was training doesn’t take on her personality and stays true to himself. He seemed genuinely nice. You never know what people are experiencing when walking into a restaurant and the fact that a person chose “your” restaurant should be an honor. Likewise, we never know what servers are going through, either. Just be nice to everyone. The world and Austin would be a better place.

The food was great, but the service was friendly but just okay. At various points throughout the meal, different staff members came to verify some detail of the food or drinks we had yet to receive. While I appreciate that they wanted to get the order right, it’s something that the waiter should’ve checked at the time of the order instead of sending other people to second guess everything.

I think is the best food in Austin. It’s all gluten free and seed oil free. The chicken tenders are the best I have had anywhere. I am also obsessed with the butter coffee.
The staff is so helpful if you need recommendations. Miranda, Callie and Bradley have always been awesome.

I used to be a frequent customer here - I loved their constantly varying menu and seasonal options, the quality ingredients, the serving sizes, the restricted allergens so I didn't have to constantly ask about food contents, the flavor of the food...

But something happened along the way. Someone told me it changed ownership? I don't know or care, but I will say that something definitely turned this gem into just another thoughtless, over-priced bougie eatery with mediocre food, a boring and restrictive menu, inconsistent quality, ever-decreasing serving sizes (ah, the wonders of shrinkflation), and bizarrely uncomfortable chairs.

We've been going here for almost a decade, since it first opened... but now? Meh. It's not worth it anymore unless something changes.

They have some really good food items but some of the food items can be a hit or a miss. (The chicken sand which)

If you order to go please check your items before leaving they, I recently ordered a Cobb salad and they literally forgot the dressing. I understand mistakes happen but this is the second time I’ve gotten pick up order from them with the same meal with a missing item.

Great service makes up for the ok food.
Took a risk and ordered a chicken sandwich breakfast style, the bun was soaked in maple syrup (maybe I should have asked prior to ordering but the menu wasn’t specific about it) so I didn’t enjoy it at all. The sweet potatoes were ok, but $22 for a chicken sandwich (what you see in the picture) that I could barely eat was very disappointing.
The ginger/turmeric juice I ordered prior to my meal was amazing though.
