Six ladies had lunch and a planning meeting at Plate today and the food and service provided by Marco & Ryan were both wonderful! We were seated at a nice round table so that we could talk and it was perfect for our group. Plate is always a great place for lunch or dinner and now they’re serving brunch on the weekend!

Decent for Bee Cave standards, I guess? Doesn't even come close to the bar for Austin cuisine though, and at $120+ per person it had better. Bland entrees looked like the most expense Luby's meal we ever had. Small plates (as apps) were okay. Service was nice but we had several forced up-sells since most of the cost-effective/popular menu items were out of stock. The hanging Christmas ornaments (in August) were an interesting accent to an already mixed-signal ambience. Definitely won't be back, just way too expensive for what it is.

Fantastic food, service and decor. Staff totally dedicated to customer service. Minor glitch was they charge to split an entree. Sounds like we're cheap to complain but it's the only thing that left a bad taste in our mouth. Pun intended.

First time there, and annoyed with myself for not eating there sooner. Great atmosphere. Really nice place for a quiet date-night out.

Great food and wonderful service. We had not been to the Plate in a while, wondered why. We will be back soon.

A bit quirky. The bar looks like the main draw (live music of sorts). Food was ok. Service adequate. Of course a bit over priced (aren’t they all?) The manager “ordered” my wife to hide her metal cup that she brought in that contained her diet-coke. I’ve been told that the “finer” restaurants don’t allow you to bring in your own soft drinks even if they don’t carry your brand. It was like going through TSA at the airport.

The lasagne is inedible. It was mush and had zero flavor. No One asked how my meal was since I barely touched it. My friend liked his burger and my other friend liked his pizza.

Lovely ambience and decor. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. Staff was attentive and friendly. The peach salad was delicious- dressing on the side as I find that salads are often overdressed. Halibut was flaky and cooked perfectly. Hubby had the steak rare+ and said it was also just right. Plate will definitely be in our regular rotation!

It wasn't a special occasion BUT afterwards we felt like we had celebrated. A memorable night.

This place has some nice food. Love the Ahi poke bawl, it’s my favorite. However the service is little slow like there are bit behind, or not all together… for the price I would imagine to have a better service that is prompt and fast. Instead I feel like I am in France ?? if you know what I mean.
However the food makes it up for it as it is delicious and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing with live music. Overall I would recommend this place.

Went there with a friend on a Saturday evening and had a blast.
Our server Alice was extremely nice and attentive.
The food was delicious, especially the starters we chose.

It’s a nice place when you walk in. And you’d hope that would carry over to the service and the food. The salad we got was pretty. The fish and chips I was excited about. Except it was a greasy mess. So I had fries. I did taste the fish and it was decent. But it was super greasy and sliding out of the batter. That’s what happens when you toss the fish on the fries right out of the fryer and serve it up without resting it a few minutes. Two glasses of wine and an eye popping 80 plus dollar bill for lunch. Minus the atmosphere and decor which was nice it was a meal at Chilis. The server disappeared after taking our order and literally never came back. We asked for our bill from the guy who greeted us at the door. He went to the bar and never came back. I went to the bartender to ask for the bill. He printed it and left for five minutes while I waited for it. He left and we had to wait longer for him to come back. All in all being one of two small groups at the time this shoulda been way different. I can’t imagine if it was busier.

My wife and two other couples had dinner there Friday. We had been several times before but our friends had not. They all loved it. Three had short ribs, I had Lasagna, my wife had Halibut. All outstanding. Our server was great and very good at wine knowledge.
It’s a place you should go several times since every dish is as good as the previous!!?
