It's not fussy, really nothing super special in terms of Tx bbq, but what I like about this place is that it's affordable, consistent, and not packed with people at all hours or closing at like 2 p.m. Representative of Texas bbq if you have never had it, and really accessible.

We used Poke Joe’s Catering for our engagement party this past Saturday (September 27th), and I cannot say enough AMAZING things about the entire experience!

From the very beginning, working with John Bohne was such a breeze. He responded quickly to every email, walked me through what our event would look like, and was endlessly patient as I changed my mind a few times along the way (thank you, John!). Once we finalized everything, the day of the event couldn’t have gone smoother.

The catering team arrived right on time, and I showed them to our backyard where we’d set up a tent to keep them shaded from the late afternoon sun. They got everything ready so efficiently and with such professionalism. The full-service fajita bar was a huge hit! The meat and chicken were unbelievably tender, the sides were fresh and flavorful, the queso was so tasty, and every single detail was perfect. Our guests could not stop raving about it the entire night. We’re still getting texts and calls from friends and family saying how amazing the food was and how it completely elevated the whole party.

We highly recommend Poke Joe’s for any event; they helped make our celebration stress-free and so memorable. We’ll absolutely keep them in mind for future gatherings!

The sausage was terrible. Moist brisket was crunchy. Potato salad very bland. Pinto beans were decent. I went to use the bathroom and saw this sign. Nothing to joke about. Last time I go here. In the past the food was better
