Hosted a private Event at the Palmer Lane location. For those that don’t know, they have a great sized room for small parties. From the moment of planning, to day of the event the staff was beyond incredible in all aspects. The food was abundant and fresh and hot, and delicious. Whatever we needed the staff was on it. The customer service was through the roof. Thank you all for a great night, you made everything so easy! I highly recommend everyone eat at this location, 10/10

This place is my go to for catering or a staff lunch. They go above and beyond and they make a pick up lunch order for a group super easy! 5 stars!

I'm not the type of person to leave reviews, but I would like to let everyone know my experience. Being from Kansas City, the BBQ capital, I wanted to try some texas BBQ. So after getting my eyes examined, pok-e-jo's was next door, so I thought I would give them a try. I ordered a brisket sandwich, which was excellent. But the best part of my lunch was seeing the hospitality of the workers when a homeless man came in. They gave him a cup for water and didn't make him feel any different. I was trying to finish my meal so I could buy the homeless man a meal. The next thing I know, the workers whipped a cheeseburger and fries for the gentleman. So, with being said, I wish everyone in auston,tx, would stop on in and support them.

I had the grilled pork ribs and it was moist and very well seasoned. And a salad just to balance out eating a whole hog solo!

TL;DR: THE BEST BBQ we had all trip.Out of all 9 BBQ stops we made in Texas, this was the one we bestow our BEST BBQ Award on for now. But let's get into why we selected it as our favorite. For starters I ordered the 2-meat plate with my selections being the brisket and burnt ends (the two sides as shown were potato salad and mac & cheese). Being from the Kansas City area, the burnt ends would be the easier meat to judge. What we didn't expect was the shear size of those burnt ends! They were massive! We were also pleased to find a variety of sauces which peaked our interest even more. Specialty sauce flavors like Peach Habanero offered here are unique as they can easily make or break a BBQ plate. In this case it worked alongside the specialty rub to create a mouthwatering delicacy that (while there were no bones present) was fall off the bone delicious. The brisket was cooked to perfection but the burnt ends had us questioning if our preference for Kansas City BBQ was in jeopardy. We all emptied our plates including my 17 month old who thoroughly enjoyed the smoked turkey breast, and no one left the restaurant feeling hungry. We also want to shout-out the staff who were very friendly and even went as far as to ask us how it compared to back home. I am not ashamed to admit that it would put even a few KC BBQ places on notice. We would make a trip out of our way to eat here again.

Consistently good food, with senior discounts. This is our go-to BBQ restaurant in Austin - no long lines and easy parking. When you don't want to wait an hour to finally get to the counter, this is the place. Great for out-of-state folks that want some good BBQ. They will wonder if food can really be any better than this. It might can, but life is too short to find out.

We are visiting from South Carolina and wanted to try some TX BBQ...this place is a poor representation of that. The pulled pork was stringy and bland. The brisket was dry and unseasoned. The Mac and Cheese tasted like reheated Stouffer's Mac and Cheese. The peach habanero bbq sauce tasted like peaches and nothing else. Extremely disappointed and definitely would recommend anyone looking for delicious BBQ to skip this place and look elsewhere.

Ok the meat is juicy, sausage is over greasy and came luke warm, and Potato Salad was dried up. I spent 100.00 for (2) 2-Meat plates and (2) Kids plates that I wish I would have spent my money on Austin's East side BarBeQue food trucks. Can't beat the atmosphere here. Very nice feel and clean, stocked restaurant. Very diappointed with the food served to me here.

You guys! 25 yrs in Austin and I always thought Pok e Jos was a sort of Jason's Deli!!!! Woopsies!
When I tell you that this was good it was freaking deeeleeechus! We didn't eat there but it was pretty cute so I took pics while chatting it up with the gent in orange. Who was super cool by the way.
Their peach habanero bbq sauce is freaking good! We ordered the SLICED brisket sandwich with cole slaw and jalapeño cornbread with tons of corn in it! Yumyumyummmmm? We were busy chomping when I realized I hadn't taken pics of the food, sorries! Lol ?? I'm not a green bean fan so the casserole wasn't my thing but the coke slaw was awesome. Not old wilty cabbage, it was crispy, fresh. Anyyyway, try it! Estaba rico
