Poke Austin

I love this place! The staff is super nice and you can tell they're supporting younger students with jobs. The food is delicious with plenty of options, good portions, and a very reasonable price.

I haven’t physically been there yet so can’t review atmosphere but this place is the truth. I grew up in hawai’i so I am very picky. Poke is usually more on the simplistic side but I do appreciate dedicated poke restaurants that offer a variety of options as far as protein and toppings. I’ve tried several poke restaurants around the austin area and decided to try Poke Austin for the first time yesterday (ordered via grubhub) and after just one bite, I literally said “mmmm” it was so flavorful and savory!! I enjoyed everything. I ordered a poke bake with teriyaki chicken and spam. It came standard with edamame, fish roe, corn and some kind of pickled veggie as toppings. The harmony of that poke bowl was amazing and nearly perfect. I’m building my own bowl now today and I can’t wait. I haven’t felt compelled to write a review for other poke spots I’ve tried but needed to write one for this place. Also, the kimchi they have is BOMBBB and that’s hard to come by in a restaurant setting around atx unless you’re at an authentic korean spot. Will be eating this regularly as long as the product is consistent!

I just wish there were more aloha drink flavors on the menu. I would also appreciate spam musubi as a side!! :D

The food itself was as I expected it would be. Tuna seemed fresh and I liked the flavor of everything. HOWEVER - the amount of food I received for a $20 bowl was outrageously small. It was half the size of any other respectable poke place in Austin for the same price. I get that the price of fish may affect how much protein you can get for the $, but good lord, fill up a bowl with rice and veggies! They hardly cost anything, and maybe I wouldn't have still been hungry!! I will not be going out of my way to go back.

This was my first and likely last time visiting. The meal was quite expensive for what we received, which was disappointing. Given that it was my first experience, I expected better customer service. I wasn’t given any direction or even a recommendation when I asked for help. The staff seemed disengaged, almost as if being there was a chore. Based on the lack of service, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

The service at this store was extremely rude and unwelcoming. The staff completely ignored us, not even acknowledging our presence or asking for our order. We went in to get boba but were treated as if we didn’t exist, while they happily greeted and took orders from other customers. On top of that, the store had an unpleasant smell. I would not recommend this place at all.

Probably one of the worst Poke Bowls I have ever had! The rice was hard and chewy, the proteins didn’t taste fresh, the avocado ($2.00 extra) was hard and should not have been served for another 2-3 days. Like some have already noted, the portions are hilariously small compared to the price. A Poke bowl this size is half the price in many other places that I’ve been.
I will not be returning, unless you enjoy disappointment then I certainly would not recommend you going either.

The food was amazing! Loved it! The boba was also very good. Highly recommend this place and will definitely go again!

Parking: During the time that I went, there were a lot of parking spaces that were available right in front of their door.

Steve, Steve, Steve… You absolutely need to bring this guy back immediately. He’s the most handsome, most skilled avocado peeler I’ve ever seen, and the way he designs poke bowls is like creating a work of art. You wouldn’t believe what he can do with chia seeds. He stole my girlfriend from me, but that’s okay—I’ll find someone new .By the way, all your employees are amazing, but Steve is on another level.

First time coming in for some poke and this place was great. Fresh ingredients and lots of great crab options. Emily and Vivi were great and handled what I thought would be a long wait very efficiently.

The Poke is very good. We enjoy that you get to build your own bowl here. Very nice selection of toppings. Stick to the Poke and skip the boba teas which were a disappointment.
