I've been going to Polvos since the 90s. It's a lot more expensive than it used to be but the food is really good. This time I got the shrimp fajitas which I had never gotten there before and they were really good. That was my last meal in Austin before I moved. And if I go back to Austin I'm going to want to go to Polvos
cool atmosphere. my enchiladas were awesome, however my boyfriend’s tacos were disappointing. drenched in sauce with questionable meat. we doubt that the ribeye was actually ribeye. if i’m not mistaken, the tacos were supposed to come with sides which we never received. for how much you pay ($20 for two tacos btw), the service and food quality should definitely be better. the service wasn’t bad, but definitely lacking. $16 cocktails? pffft. i could pay that somewhere else...
The food was great , but it was the hidden prices for me they charged me the most for alcoholic drink @ $21 dollars each everything was over priced Lunch for 3 people was almost $300 I could have gone to a real high class restaurants for that when I complained about my bill being outrageously high the manager said he would give me a family discount and gave me a discount for the drinks at 16 each still I know I can get lunch for half that prices somewhere else not a happy customer...
