Thank you Andrea and Saren for helping this tired traveller feel right at home!

Vegetarian options: The chickpea fritters are super-tasty!

Kid-friendliness: Families can relax with 3-water levels in the pool, (6inch, 12inch, chest deep for adults).

Wheelchair accessibility: Pool has a chair lift so that anyone can enjoy a dip!

The worst hotel experience I have ever had…cute on IG, brutal service/stay. From the moment we got there, the customer service was terrible and unwelcoming. The room we were placed in had multiple lights not working with no natural lighting, the wifi didn’t work nor was there cell service to be on data. When we went to the pool, the server was so scattered, asked us to repeat our orders 3 times and ended up messing up my lunch order. I understand things happen but what was frustrating was the lack of accountability upon correcting the meal. Any plates or meals eaten poolside would sit there for hours with no one to take any orders. We left the pool and came back 4 hours later and the same garbage and dirty towels were in the same place. The water pressure in the showers was brutal if you have long hair to wash and the bathrooms don’t have a proper wall so if you’re staying with someone, be ware. The customer service did nothing to rectify any of the issues outside of throwing us a free drink at the bar. Upon checking out, I asked again what the status was as there was no communication and the girl at the front desk just shrugged. We ended up going to a different hotel for the rest of our stay because it was so bad.

Management are awful. I was overcharged and after some back and forth they just ignored me. A place that steals your money is not a place you should stay at. Many other reviews also mention being overcharged. Even without this experience the hotel is definitely not worth the price they charge.

Cockroach infested room. I came with my boyfriend for our 1 year. A beautiful day that it was suppose to be.. turned sour as soon as we turned AC on and Cockroaches crawled out. Never again. Ever. I rather sleep outside.

The food and Beverage guys were perfect. Good menu, good service. The hotel was mediocre. They screwed us with our room a little, gave us one that had water leaking from the ceiling.... and that's okay, stuff happens... but they were terribly ungracious about it - a couple of meager, half-hearted 'sorry' pleas isn't the right way to handle it, especially with us renting two rooms for several days. They should have offered SOMETHING. But no. I mean, they DID change our room, but no gesture from them as consolation. Not a free night, not a gift card to ther restaurant... nothing. Not terribly professional. Only giving it 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 because the maintenance guy who showed up to handle it was AWESOME... engaged us, was super apologetic and very attentive. Also, the location is great for people who want to be where the locals hang out, rather than the tourist local. great restaurants and bars nearby. Some authentic Austin can still be found around here in East Austin.

If you want to have to share bathroom or pay over $300 a night for the privilege of your own toilet and shower, then this is the place to stay! If you want to feel like you’re back in college and in a dorm room again, well this is also the place to stay. If you want to pay extra for the privilege of parking here on top of staying in a dorm room, this is definitely the place to stay. If however, you’d like your own bathroom, a room that doesn’t feel like a dorm room and not over paying, than stay anywhere else

Looks cute from the outside but on the inside was somewhat disappointing for the price point. The biggest issue was that the Wi-Fi was not even remotely functional. As a remote worker, this was very frustrating and caused me to have to relocate to a different hotel’s lobby and work from their coffee shop instead of the comfort of my own room. We reached out to management about the issue and received no response. The bathrooms also do not have walls that go up to the ceiling, which appears to be a design choice but results in little privacy. The location was great but with no shortage of places to stay in Austin, I’m not sure I would return.

Warning - read your booking EXTRA closely. A large portion of this hotel has shared bathrooms!!! (Yes like a hostel) I was very displeased with my recent stay here. I lived in East Austin a number of years and frequented the balcony bar often (which is super cute), but never stayed here until a recent visit back to town. I relooked at my reservation and the bathroom explanation is fine print and not obvious. The shared bathrooms were hostel like and were not well maintained. I tried a couple of the stalls and while they are private and do lock, they were dirty and not cleaned often. They provide men’s and women’s USED shower shoes in your room which was also gross and dated stained towels. The carpet in the rooms are so disgusting I didn’t take my socks or shoes off during my stay and there was so much dust on the counter top of the desk it looked like it has not been cleaned in a very long time. The walls are paper thin both to other rooms and to the street. While the public spaces in this hotel are cute, this was a horrendous stay for me as I could not sleep. I think it’s important for others to know what you’re getting into if you stay here. I’m not going back.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I stayed in a cabin room which has shared bathrooms in the hallway. Everything was kept really clean. The whole hotel is decorated super cute. Every staff member I interacted with was kind and helpful. I highly recommend this cute hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at East Austin Hotel! The staff was very helpful and the room was adorable! The hotel has really invested in both indoor and outdoor general spaces and, although I didn’t use them during my stay, they added to the ambience of the property. Specifically referencing the lobby, pool bar, and restaurant. The bed was comfortable and the room had nice touches like a robe and fluffy towels to add to the experience. I also really loved the toiletries! Highly recommend this property!

Come here for the cute decor and very prime location. They need to upgrade and/or fix their WiFi because it’s not great if you’re working remotely. Expect loud music. Room service cleaned only once during our 5day stay despite purposely not having dnd signs on our door. Yes cute trendy decor, but expected more for the price I paid.

We were in from California for a destination wedding in Austin and many of the out of town guests stayed at the East Austin Hotel. The location, service and atmosphere at the hotel was fantastic. The hotel staff were very accommodating, courteous and professional. The location to many of Austin's east side restaurants and night life was fanstastic.
