Basic, basic, so basic. Nothing made me want to go back again. Two dishes we ordered were just okay, nothing special, I would definitely not call it delicious nor want to eat more. No customer service at all, not friendly… No matter how much I wanted to support local business, this is just not anywhere close to my standard.

Parking: Plenty of parking

Normal (in a good way) Vietnamese in a strip mallThe food is normal, and that’s a complement. Its about as close to generic street cuisine you’d get in Vietnam, in that it isn’t going TJ blow your socks off, but it’s just basically good and happy-making.

The food here is authentic Vietnamese food. They also carry freshly pressed Sugar Cane Juices.Which is is very hard to come across. Overall a 5 star restaurant ?

Come here if you want *other* authentic Vietnamese dishes besides pho! Being Vietnamese, I can vouch for the deliciousness and high quality of the food. Try the Hu Tieu, My Hoanh Thanh, and the C4 rice dish. The prices are reasonable but I do end up spending a bit more because I like to order more than one thing. :-) The service is friendly and quick. I come here as often as I can, and hope you do the same!

Sometimes our wanderings make us experience amazing people and foods. This was the case of this very authentic eatery (both in the menu and also in the quaint Asian diner decor that you find ubiquitous in almost all of them. These remain unchanged since my childhood). It could be the company, it could be the timing, but this restaurant satiated our palate unlike other places for a while.Order the Banh Xeo. For dessert, try the refreshing Sam Bo Luong.Bon Appétit

If there is a patron saint of lost causes, then I am the patron saint of hole-in-the-wall restaurants - especially when they compete with better known, nearby options. Thus, I selected this establishment over the nearby Phó Saigon, which has THOUSANDS of positive reviews. In fact, I backed into a prime parking spot right in front of the busy restaurant.However...Something tugged the strings of my cold, dead heart as I looked over at the forlorn orphan that is this restaurant... literally on the opposite corner of the same block as Phó Saigon.I shed a tear, said "yes" to the Victorian orphan and the gruel they were selling after I drove the short distance to it.The first aspects which struck me was an unpleasant smell, as well as a general dinginess throughout. The middle-aged woman at the counter looked up from behind the counter, and grunted me at a vacant table.I sat down, and after she slowly, grumpily made her way through the litter of tables to where I sat, handed me a water in a brown glass which I prayed was the cheap plastic - and not uncleanliness. She went back to the counter, selecting a few other Asian customers at random with whom to loudly speak. The oddest thing was sometimes she would loudly speak Vietnamese to a couple - who did not speak Vietnamese, but then loudly speak English to a couple who did speak Vietnamese?!I struggled my way through the limited, confusing menu, and upon selecting the dish I desired, I motioned for her to take my order and the was treated to her repeating the experience above as she made her way to me.She the argued with me through the menu, and I then considered leaving as soon as she returned to the her post at the counter as I wondered what quality of food and it's safety I could expect. My low opinion of this establishment only worsened upon experiencing the horrendous bathroom with a leaky toilet.Lovely.Before I finalized my decision to leave without eating, my combination egg noodle soup arrived. The food was good, if a bit bland.I finished my bowl as soon as possible, and went to pay to leave as soon as possible, and was charged over $16 for a relatively small bowl of bland combination noodle soup.As I left, I looked back at the scattered, confused Asian customers, all with only water because the owner(?) lady never asked if she they wanted something else, and I understood why this restaurant compares so unfavourably with the nearby Phó Saigon.Yes - my resolve to patronize small, struggling restaurants over the "cool" kid restaurant was shook.Time will tell if this will be forever changed after this abysmal restaurant experience. Some places are meant to remain small.

Vegetarian options: Noodles and vegetables

Kid-friendliness: Only if you want to take them to a dingy hovel as some kind of field trip

Parking: Excellent

One of the Best Vietnamese food restaurants so far. I have tried the “Bun Mang Vit” and “Com bo luc lac” over here. And they are amazing. Highly recommended. The workers are very nice too

This place is one of the best authentic Vietnamese restaurants I hand in Austin and the surrounding areas. The food were amazing beyond what I expected. This meal completely brought me back to Asia with their food, condiments, and atmosphere.

Bun dau mam tom isnt for your average joe. The fermented shrimp sauce was on point. It had complimented well with the pork belly, tofu and herbs. Light meal but be sure to have a mint on hand for afterwards. Hahaha.

Trash Vietnamese food. Quality and quantity is garbage. You will find hair in the over priced & bland food. Very disappointed. Would never go again.-To reply to your response… How does inflation subject to hair being in the food?? That was not suppose to be apart of the dish. ?

My wife loves the authentic noodle dishes here. We have been here a few times and she’s never disappointed. We will continue eating here.

We are already planning our next visit!New restaurant in the Plaza, it offers delicious comforting vietnamese dishes that you would not find elsewhere in Austin. When other restaurants only have Pho and bo bun, the menu includes cháo gà (chicken congee), bún măng vịt (Duck Bamboo Noodle soup), bò lúc lắc (shaken beef) and bánh xèo (vietnamese crepe, my favorite!) to name a few.Our waitress was caring, attentive, it felt like dining with family members.I can't wait to try the chanh chưa cá kho!
