These guys are the truth. Had my first experience last night and they were wonderful, very kind and the sandwich has to be the best cheesesteak in Austin. I’ve tried everyone else and I will never go back to any of the other guys. Could not recommend these guys enough if you are looking for a real cheesesteak.

Stopped by the Grackle after seeing a show on the east side and found the R&B truck outside; I’m glad sure glad I did! It was 11pm and I was ready for 2nd dinner lol and man that sandwich hit the spot. I have no real experience or opinion on a cheesesteak so I can’t speak to authenticity or correctness but it was hot, cheesy, and absolutely tasty. I got provolone, mushrooms and onions (never been a big bell pepper person), and I could taste it all! Lovely mushrooms, juicy meat, savory onions, chewy bread, melty cheese… I want another right about now… XD My husband had ordered from across the street but when he tried a bite he was a bit jealous.
The staff were super friendly also, they walked me through the differences in the sandwiches and when my friends went inside the bar they offered to bring it in to me which they did on a tray with a variety of sauces. Very nice guys giving vip treatment even at 11pm! Go see them!
