Coffee, atmosphere and staff was 💯🔥
This is a solid venue for a bigger outdoor show. Plenty of space to move around without feeling crammed in, and there really isn't a bad view from anywhere. Good sound for outdoor stage. I really like how you get the entire use of the property when they have a concert here. Three food trucks all open during the show. I feel like they're doing what most other 'bigger' outdoor Austin venues strive to do. Radio East is firing on all cylinders, still be ready to pay event pricing on drinks +parking can be a PITA if you don't get here early enough.

I went there early to queue and got an iced match latte with half and half while I was waiting. It tasted like straight up half and half which was disappointing, but whatever I didn’t go to this place for their matcha lol. The staff that was operating the queue were very nice, and helped out multiple people including me who didn’t get the tickets delivered to them via email like we were supposed to.
On to the actual show, I got center barricade and was very excited! As a 5’2 girl it’s nice being up front and having the security of the barricade, however I didn’t realize it would end up getting me hurt. The security at the show was HORRIBLE!! The crowd surfers weren’t allowed to go over the barricade according to security, so what do they do? Push them directly down on the people at the front.
Multiple times grown men and women were push down on me AND the people around me. At one point a security guard pushed a grown, very drunk, man down on to my friend to the point of them falling completely to the ground. I had my hair pulled multiple times due to this as well as having my head banged into the barricade. The security was also constantly on their phones instead of looking at the crowd.
If crowd surfers aren’t allowed to go over the barricade crowd suffering should not be allowed at ALL! This rule of not allowing crowd surfers over the barricade resulted in multiple people getting hurt. I was lucky enough to end up having an older man behind me maybe 3/4 through the show that would help keep people from falling on me, but I shouldn’t have to get lucky to be safe.
TLDR; the crowd surfing rule ended up hurting people and the security was useless.

This review is for the security behind the barricade at the venue last night. Not sure if it was their first time working a concert but they refused to pull crowd surfers over the barricade, as is standard for every other show I’ve been to in my life. Instead, they kept pushing them back into the crowd which created unsafe conditions where the crowd surfer was pushed back and forth by the crowd until eventually falling into the crowd. This puts undue strain on the people holding them up and potential injury when they come down on top of someone. I’ve never seen this protocol before. A couple people questioned why they weren’t letting people over and they said they didn’t want to. Normally, the guards are supposed to help people safely over and down, then send them around the side to rejoin the crowd. Some people exit the crowd this way if it’s too packed and they need an emergency exit. At least one of them was armed too, which was unsettling. The show overall was fine but this was definitely a big distraction. I will try to avoid coming here for future shows.
Nice place for a drink. Frequent events of bands and comedy.
They have the best playlist
Went for a pretty big concert, was worried we wouldn't find parking but the street parking was more than adequate. Had a great time.

Radio/East is a cool spot with a distinct artsy, hippy vibe that makes it stand out from your typical coffee shop. I ordered an Americano and my wife had a latte — both were well made and hit the spot. The staff was attentive and made us feel welcome, which added to the experience.
There’s plenty of seating both inside and outside, so it’s a great place to hang out whether you want to relax indoors or enjoy the fresh air. Pricing felt fair for what we got, and the overall atmosphere makes it easy to linger for a while.
I’d definitely come back, either for another coffee or even to try a beer next time. Radio/East is a solid choice if you enjoy unique, creative spaces that are laid-back and inviting.
