Had a great happy hour at Rain today—shoutout to Robert Bloom for the excellent service! He was kind, courteous, and super attentive the whole time. Made the experience even better. Thanks, Robert! 🍸🌈
Rain has been my home bar for 18 years. They have given me a safe space for my entire adulthood, hosted our going away party, multiple charity events, and countless celebrations.
They are also the best place on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Austin. The drinks flow, the entertainment is top tier, the dance floor is sweaty sexy. Definitely check them out!

Rude Rude Rude
A place with a very good vibe
Great atmosphere, high energy! Love it!
i went last night and usually it’s a good time but last night the bouncer was so rude. first he asked me had i been drinking and i jokingly replied with not at all i could probably drive a mac truck he then proceeded to tell me that i had an attitude and was not welcome. This place really needs to revamp their staff it’s one thing to be professional and prioritize running a smooth ship but it’s quite another to be catty and rude to patrons. this is not the first rude encounter i’ve had with staff members here seems like professional development is lacking.
Was hanging here with my friends, made a song request with my phone (just a song title on a phone screen pointed toward the DJ), and got asked to leave. The song was completely in line with the DJ’s set, so it was pretty unfortunate that rather than just saying no, I was asked to leave. I will not be back. I guess I didn’t read queer enough to be taken seriously?

As a tourist from California, karaoke night on Monday nights was incredibly fun! There were so many talented singers and the energy was great. The staff did a great job engaging the audience! One of the best karaoke experiences in a bar I’ve had in the USA ! Kudos!

The bartender was great but the other guy who was in-charge of the music & karaoke was so rude!!! He just was straight up inconsiderate. There was nobody in the bar literally except for us and a couple we met there. They just got married last night and we wanted to have their wedding song played for them. He not even said NO STRAIGHT UP but was rude and warned us indirectly to not ask another time!! It was a karaoke night he made us wait until 2 people sang before us him and some other person! It’s just not the vibe we expected there and was so disappointed. I took my husband there for the first time and I don’t think we are ever gonna be back because of that guy’s attitude. It’s not like we were really drunk I am posting the review the same night!! :)
