Explosion of flavor, filling, and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for? I wish they have you a full egg instead of just half with the #2 ramen but that's my only complaint.

I LOVE Ramen Tatsuya! I have been coming the past 10 years since I've moved to Austin. The Miso-not Ramen bowl with the side of the Chashu rice bowl is a great combo that I enjoy everytime I come.

Austin is known for many things, but a true local knows that one of its greatest culinary treasures is Ramen Tatsu-ya. This is not just a restaurant; it's a destination, and for good reason. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is a vibrant mix of fun and energy, with an edgy, urban feel that perfectly complements the incredible food.
The ramen is simply in a league of its own. The broths are a work of art—rich, deeply flavorful, and simmered for hours to perfection. Whether you go for the classic or one of their unique, spicy concoctions, every bowl is a revelation. The noodles are perfectly cooked, and the toppings are thoughtfully chosen, from the melt-in-your-mouth chashu pork to the perfectly marinated soft-boiled egg.
The service is always fast, friendly, and efficient, even during the busiest times. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about their food, making the experience even better. Ramen Tatsu-ya has truly set the standard for ramen in Austin and beyond. If you're craving a bowl of pure, savory comfort, this is the place to be. It's an unforgettable meal that will leave you planning your next visit before you've even finished your first.

The staff didn’t know what udon noodles are… edamame are not fresh, just boiled from frozen. Karaage chicken is deep fried to near charcoal and awful. Avoid.

Food was good I got the og (tonkotsu) and the pork was amazing and the egg everything was good but the broth was not what I was expecting when I normally order a tonkotsu it’s rich and creamy but this was just very salty but besides that it was great

Gave a 15 dollar tip only to be told where I could fill my water. Leave a tip at the table not the register. The only service we received was the food was brought to the table. The food was really good though and plenty of it. I’d go back for that alone.

Most likely the worst tatsuya location in Austin. Save your time and go to the other locations. Placed a togo order in advance and had to wait another 20 minutes when I got to the store, it took them 40 mins total to prepare a single order that consist of 1 bowl of ramen. My first and last time here certainly. I will stick to the location on research or 35.

finally decided to try this place after hearing good things for awhile. I wasnt expecting it to be so casual. You order at the counter and seat yourself. I got the sho-yu ramen. The broth flavor and the toppings were very nice but there were issues. The broth was too salty. I couldn't finish the bowl because of it. And the Noodles were undercooked, although letting it sit while it was still hot helped a little.
My main issue with the restaurant was the atmosphere. The place was a cacophony. It sounded like there were two different metal songs playing at once. I think the kitchen was playing their own music really loud. And there was some other constant noise overhead i'm guessing was the air conditioning. Add to that all the usual crowd noise of a busy restaurant. It's not a place to bring your parents to. I'm sure the outdoor seating would've been way better but it was in the 98 degrees at the time.

No interest any more in waiting for 1 hour for a bowl of noodles without anyone caring about it.

Every. Single. Person here was friendly, helpful and cared about customer service!! That is sadly rare these days which makes this place truly unique and deserving of the effort to come try it! The food is also superb! Highly recommend this place!!! Didn’t have to wait too long to order or for food and the atmosphere is lovely with a great patio. Great for date night or solo lunch… it’s even got a cute bar on the patio for some reading time with your book or remote work without the guilt of taking up a table.

Went in on a Thursday for lunch and was greeted immediately upon arrival. The food was delicious and service was great. I’m so glad the original tsukemen is back! 🙌

Too long time to wait on the line but server does not care that much.
We cannot get a food and left from there even we wait right at the front at counter. I do not understand why are they not separated who take care order, bartender, and who cleaning the hole. One person take care everything and it makes delay everything!
