It took 45 minutes to get our first round of drinks so that sort of ruined it. Might want to schedule more than 1 bartender for. Game day weekend.
Sat there for 25 minutes. Staff would not serve us. Left and went somewhere else

Our recent visit to Ranch 616 was disappointing. We sat on the patio and it was so loud it was hard to hear the people we were dining with. The food was also not up to par. The best thing we had was the side of roasted vegetables. The club salad was also nice. However the chicken fried steak was tough. We've been dining at this restaurant since it opened and I was anxious to share it with our out of town family. I'm sorry to report the experience left us wanting a better meal elsewhere.
Ill start off by saying the food was great.. but the service? Not so much. Franco R was our server and within 30 seconds he already seemed impatient after we asked to review the menu for a couple more minutes. Then at the end of our meal, instead of asking whether we were done or not, or wanted dessert, he just handed the checkbook. We were excited to try to the skillet cookie but since he seemed to be in such a rush, we didnt get to. He also never asked how we wanted the bill to be split. Overall, lack of communication and very impatient.
Menu was expensive so we didnt eat. Would like to go back and try their food, however it is a place I would need to save and plan for.
Always a positive experience at Ranch 616. Especially the service, the food, and the drinks. For a Thursday night relatively early (6:30) it was packed full and the noise level indoors was really high... sometimes loud enough to make it hard to hear the conversation at our own table. But that's not totally unexpected for a popular place like this.
Slightly off the beaten path of West 6th lies a Tex Mex place that features eclectic decorations and delicious food. We recently stopped by Ranch 616 and were pretty impressed by what they had to offer. As mentioned before, the decor is a bit wacky but it seems to suit the place well. Since it is right off of 6th, be aware that parking may not be the easiest to find and you’ll have to settle with what you get. The interior and exterior are clean and lively and there is sometimes live music on their patio section.
When we arrived we were quickly seated and ordered quick as well. The waiters were attentive and quick, which is always appreciated. One thing we noticed is that water comes in repurposed candle holders, which is cool but also means you get only a bit of water at a time before you need to refill. For food we ordered a plain cheese quesadilla, quesadilla of the day (ended up being chicken), and their ranch chicken sandwich fried. All the food was pretty good. The plain cheese quesadilla was perfect, just the right texture and filling of cheese. The quesadilla of the day was a standard chicken quesadilla featuring refried beans, cream, etc; pretty good, but nothing special. Lastly, the fried chicken sandwich was great, the chicken breaded well and very juicy, although is came out very very hot.
Ranch 616 was a very welcome change to what you would normally expect from West 6th’s bar and fast eats scene. There’s a lot of character here and as people always looking for reliable restaurants in different neighborhoods, Ranch 616 definitely fits that bill. We will certainly be back if ever out on 6th and looking for some southwest/Tex Mex food.

This is an amazing spot for GF folks! The tortilla soup + maize chicken is an excellent starter+entree combination, one of my favorite combos I’ve found in the city. The service was great too and the NOgroni. Really nice atmosphere on the patio

Food was good. Had the Texas Red Snapper and it was excellent. Ate outside and is pretty casual considering the high priced menu.
