Had an amazing dinner at Roaring Fork on Congress — the wood-fired Cedar-Planked Salmon with teriyaki glaze was smoky and perfectly cooked, and the Big Ass Burger lived up to its name (juicy beef, cheddar, bacon, chipotle mayo — on point!). The Green Chili Pork Enchiladas were a flavorful surprise too, with just the right amount of kick.

What really made it special was the warm, rustic atmosphere — the open flames and cozy lighting set a great mood — and our server was super attentive without being overbearing. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their steaks or the Rainbow Trout next time.

My wife and I went to RF for the first time yesterday. It was a special occasion, my birthday. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. The manager also served me a complimentary slice of pecan pie a la mode along with a very nice birthday card signed by the staff. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend them.

We had a delightful dinner at the Roaring Fork. The ambiance was lovely with dimmed lighting and candles. Our waiter Jason was knowledge and very helpful. We enjoyed the Rainbow trout, the Shrimp and grits and the Salmon on a cedar plank. We will definitely return.

Able to get the big oval hi-top corner table in the bar area - best seats! Qualifies for happy hour menu: excellent beef sliders, tortilla soup & beef tacos

Man, we really wanted to love this place last night.

For starters, the ambience here is fantastic and we love the set up. It’s a beautiful building. The service was exceptional and Raquel was a great waitress.

The food does not meet the standard though. Cowboy Ribeye came out more rare than any steak I’ve had before. The New York Strip also came out extremely rare. We got one of the steaks Oscar Style, and you could smell the spoiled lobster before the plate was even sat down. Absolutely disgusting.

To managements benefit, they worked to rectify the issue with no push back. We had a steak, seafood, and two desserts comped. This was a great thought; however, I still spent $203 and we picked at our meals. Very disappointing considering we were there for a birthday.

We go to Roaring Fork Stonelake regularly. First of all, it's a restaurant with a lovely vibe and a beautiful view of Stonelake, a former quarry. It has an excellent menu with plenty of choices, whether you're eating light or going for a big steak or their Big Ass Burger. Food is consistently top notch, cooked to your temperature preference. RF has attentive, professional waiters. They also have a happy hour menu in the bar area (one-half of the restaurant and one side patio), as well as specials most evenings. I think that their Ceasar salad is one of the best in town. Given the menu range and consistent food quality, I think it's an excellent value. It never been disappoints.

Fabulous restaurant in North Austin! We were able to reserve a table in the bar for 12 for happy hour. Jean was our waitress and she was incredible. She got all our orders correctly (even split up checks), she was very friendly and efficient..even with 12 of us! I highly recommend dining or drinking here. There is a big variety in food choices, a good happy hour till 6PM, comfortable seating and the prices are fairly reasonable.
