I'm so happy that my favorite BBQ place is located inside Chalmers!! Asking me about Rollin Smoke is like asking Eddie Murphy about Prince!! I love everything here! Come through and get the Mac and cheese, the brisket, and definitely the quesa tacos!!
One of the best places to get BBQ in Austin. Why wait in line when you can get great smoked BBQ without the wait and don't even get me started on the banana pudding. I don't even like bananas and I pick one of their's every time I come through! Drop in on Sunday for the Al Pastor tacos, they'll cure any hangover.

Food was disappointing. Brisket was dry and sides were tasteless. Also, it is silly you have to be over 21 to walk up to the window to order on the weekend they should work out a better system with the bar that they reside in.

Came here after hearing the hype surrounding the place, was disappointed to say the least. Brisket was dry and sides were lacking flavor. Tons of other great places to try like stiles switch, if you are visiting Austin I would skip this spot.

I visited Rollin Smoke BBQ and it was exactly the kind of BBQ experience I was hoping for. I tried their Prime Brisket (sliced, smoky, tender) and Pork Belly Burnt Ends, plus sides of smoked mac & cheese and spicy slaw — everything was rich and packed with flavor. Their signature Playboy sandwich (brisket + pulled pork + sausage) is a beast worth sharing.
The setting’s casual and lively (it’s in Chalmers Bar), and service is super friendly and efficient given how busy things can get. The staff happily walked me through the menu, and the pace was just right. With quality meats, solid sides, and a chill BBQ vibe, this place is definitely one I’d go back to.

Waited 15 mins for someone to answer window to pick up a to go order. Big line behind me waiting too. What’s going on here? That was crazy on a busy night that they would just shut the windows like that with no one watching.

We had Rollin Smoke catering deliver BBQ and sides for a party at our home for 60 adults. Never have I had so many people ask “where did you get this BBQ from, it’s awesome”. And they are right, it is. We got Brisket, Chicken, and pulled pork and all 3 were great, juicy, and full of great flavor. The spicy slaw (side) is indeed spicy so may not be for everyone but most at our event loved the kick in it. You gotta get the smoked Mac and cheese, pure heaven comfort food. Lastly, there was plenty of food and this was a crowd of “eaters” so when there were leftovers, I was a bit surprised but it’s a testament to the quantity provided. And now I’ll enjoy my brisket and eggs from some of the leftover.

We’ve been here a few times and every time, the service is really good and the food is exactly what I personally want from Texas bbq. The pork belly is so so so good, the smoked cookie was delicious, my toddler loves the Mac, my husband loves the ribs, l really wasn’t even into bbq like that until we tried this place.
