Food was excellent! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and loved it so much that I got it again on my second visit. The brisket was also really solid, and the fries were delicious, definitely something I’d order again. The mac & cheese wasn’t my favorite, though it might’ve just been that batch ( a little dry).
Service was quick and easy: you order at a window and get a text when your food is ready to pick up. I was visiting Austin, and the place had that perfect Texas BBQ atmosphere.
I went on a Friday around 4:30 pm and it was pretty relaxed, but when I came back Saturday around 5:30/6 pm, it was packed with a fun 25–35 crowd all dressed up. The vibe was great, lively, social, and a perfect spot to meet people (I even met the cutest guy ever!). Definitely recommend if you’re in town.

Great food! Amazing BBQ!
Absolutely terrible, disrespectful cashier.
I wish to go back because the food is so good, but with such a terrible experience from the cashier I don’t think I’ll be back for a long time.

Great food.
I recommend trying the brisket (lean) with a side of smoked Mac n cheese.
It’s located inside of a sports bar with plenty of outdoor seating and tvs to catch a game.
My only criticism is in regard to tipping after the transaction. It is defaulted at 22% with an option to tip less while the clerk is holding the device. I bring this up because I had a hard time explaining this to an international friend who was confused about tipping culture. My stance is that 20%+ is standard at sit down restaurants when a waiter is actively serving you, refilling drinks, etc.
In my experience at Rollin Smoke, a friendly person took my order and I was buzzed when it was ready. Then I retrieved the food.
My only rationalization for a tip-forward transaction is that employees may not be compensated enough. If that’s the case, I am happy to support (and did). If not, I suggest revising the system.

I'm so happy that my favorite BBQ place is located inside Chalmers!! Asking me about Rollin Smoke is like asking Eddie Murphy about Prince!! I love everything here! Come through and get the Mac and cheese, the brisket, and definitely the quesa tacos!!
One of the best places to get BBQ in Austin. Why wait in line when you can get great smoked BBQ without the wait and don't even get me started on the banana pudding. I don't even like bananas and I pick one of their's every time I come through! Drop in on Sunday for the Al Pastor tacos, they'll cure any hangover.

Food was okay, had the g thang burrito, but it was so heavily seasoned I couldn't taste the smoked meat, also tried the brisket over Cheetos, the sauce over powered the meat so it tastes like Cheetos with BBQ sauce. We had ordered side of Mac and cheese and they gave us a potato side instead since they were out - had to ask for something else since they didn't.
The banana pudding was the best part of the meal but even then it's served in a container with ridges all the way around making it hard to scoop out the end of it. Wouldn't stop back in. Food wasn't bad just not worth the high prices.
Incredible

Absolutely crushed it at Rollin Smoke BBQ inside Chalmers! I got the lemon pepper parm wings—crispy, smoky, and packed with flavor, easily some of the best wings I’ve had. My partner went for the brisket tacos, and they were next-level tender and juicy. Everything was straight fire. The woman at the front counter was super welcoming and friendly (and yeah, total vibe), and the cook was chill as hell. Cool spot with great energy—highly recommend if you’re in East Austin!
