Luisa's Patio (Formerly Ross Old Austin Cafe)

Rating is for Ross/Luisa's Patio. Just drove by today and it is being remodeled and new signage "Lindo Michoacan" out front and on the building. Likely marks the end of the traditional Ross Old Austin Cafe menu items that Luisa faithfully continued while adding her own classic Mexican menu items. Good luck to the new venue, but I won't eat there simply because I went to Luisa's for the old Ross menu items, plus I'll miss Luisa and the staff. I don't know how many years the cooks had worked there for both Ross and Luisa. Another fallen Austin icon I'm sad to see go.

Sadly no information on the door . Place is shut down . No note on door or social media. Love their food! Tasty & decent service . Just sad that there’s no notice on the door . Maybe they’re shut permanently. ☹️

Great outdoor shows and sitting!

Delicious food! And a very laid back place to enjoy the evening, they also have live music events!

Terrible. I do not recommend. Pretend ground beef on the nachos. Generic everything including ketchup. Service ok, family owned and operated including children. I was not pleased at all.

We love this place. We chatted with Luisa on the outdoor patio on our last visit. She is wonderfully personable and the food is amazing! There is a little stage on the patio for outdoors concerts. I wish I'd taken a picture of my chicken fried steak. It was REALLY good! Very good food, great local Austin vibe.

Had a great time at Luisa's! Simple good food. I ordered the fried catfish. Servers were very attentive. Awesome band on a Saturday night. Great place to hang out with friends.

Wonderful atmosphere. Love the old style menu and the tasty coffee. Been there several times.

Great spot! Amazing food/chill vibes/nice outdoor space. Still serves some of the old Ross's popular dishes and has amazing Mexican eats.

The best customer service experience I have had since the pandemic started. Their employees really seem to care for their customers and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all like I have felt at other restaurants I have been to during the pandemic. Their food is delicious, I like to oder the fajita nachos and the sopes.

Great food at a great price.The enchiladas are really good.Burgers are food as well.Support this family owned business.

We live 25 miles from Luisa's but look forward to making the drive for the great food. Our good friend, singer/guitar picker Jerry Horn invited us here many years ago when Ross was the boss. I wish we did not live so far away so we could enjoy Luisa's food and music every week.
