Can't think of a better place to hang out with my friends. The spinach artichoke dip and guacamole are some of the best items on the menu. The staff is incredibly attentive and manager Jazz did a fantastic job at fulfilling the requests of our table.
This bar opened on the day we stayed at the Fairmont. Apparently the theme changes according to their tastes several times a year. Yesterday it was a tiki bar. Today it’s an Austin soccer theme. The place is well appointed and decorated. There is plenty of seating inside and out with great views of downtown Austin. The staff were all friendly; service was fabulous! Extensive drink menu but expensive- it is a hotel bar of course! The bar is on the same floor as the pool which you can see from the bar. We had cocktails, then went to dinner somewhere else and came back for apres dinner drinks.. We love this bar; we will definitely be back! Apparently the Christmas theme is great.

We were reading the menu using the flashlight on my phone before someone finally brought a light to the table. We had to ask for another menu for the others at our table and had to go get napkins from the bar because the server didn't bring any. We asked for ketchup, which never arrived. When we got up to leave, a cricket jumped into the fries we hadn't finished. No one came to ask-- other than the cricket-- how our food and drinks were. Overall, a disappointing experience.
Great vIew, thorough staff, cute decor.
While I won’t be rushing back, I can’t say that much was off. Just the bill, and no music on the patio. Otherwise, decor was super cute & we enjoyed the free prize machine & photo props.
The only item that was considered safe for GF were the chicken wings. Our party had ordered a variety of dishes and in the end, we all agreed that the only thing worth getting for price and quantity were these delicious spicy honey glazed wings.
All the specialty cocktails pre batched and most are made with grain spirits & syrups. I had to beg for them to make something fun with Tequila. It was a process. Bartender did a good job matching the tiki vibe with a special tequila concoction tho.

A bar with a motif that greeted my buddy and I to the seventh level of The Fairmont. The spare ribs and fries were quite delicious. Jeremy, Brenna, and Mateo provided excellent, top notch service. An essential spot for anyone planning to visit or stay at The Fairmont. Highly recommend and shall be back!

Awesome service as usual and drinks were outstanding! Got the Mexican martini pitcher with the tequila of choice for a very reasonable price! The group we had enjoyed it and will be coming back soon!
This review is for the Broken Coconut. The food, drinks and service were all good (I do have to admit this is the best Mai Tai I've had), but this is a far cry from what I call a tiki bar. This is a run-of-the-mill hotel bar in which they hung some grass skirt material from the ceiling and the servers wear tiki shirts. Again, the food, drinks, and service were all up to snuff, but hopefully they are making plans to bolster the tiki vibes.

Ambiance could be better as far as a Tiki bar goes. Music quite loud. Food was good and drinks were solid, service could have been better, not to the fault of the staff, I just think these drinks take long to make and they could maybe use another few hands. Got for happy hour 6-8.
The food options are minimal especially for vegetarians. Small portions. Fries were ok. Husband had steak skewers and they were not worth it and not good. Would not recommend. Service was friendly though :)
Hostess was not very nice and not available upon arrival, nice bartender saw us waiting and sat us down , but then when hostess saw where we were sitting seem very inconvenienced and bothered by us even tho the staff sat us down because she was not available and we were just following their instructions, drinks were not good at all, they were doing some sort of Hawaiian theme night and all the drinks were mainly syrup, only good thing about it was the glass itself. They also were having an event at the hotel and you could tell that they put the bar in the back burner for the mean time, we usually like to come to the fairmont and staycation but after this last interaction we would probably not be doing that anymore.

Always a good time and Nico and the staff is amazing here. The food is a great quick bite or snack and really would love to see the guacamole back on the menu. A+, would come back again!
Went to the Broken Coconut for the first time, and it did not disappoint! Our waitress Nico was amazing! She was beyond amazing at her job, but made us feel like we were friends that hadn't seen each other for a while. If you are lucky enough to get her as your waitress, you'll definitely have a boosted experience! Made me feel like I was in the bar in Cheers, where everyone knows your name! Thanks girl! You're amazing!

Well. We had never been to Rules and Regs so not sure how it is at baseline but we did not have a great impression of the pop-up Tiki bar. Drinks were mediocre but the bartender did us a solid with remaking and some gratis. Fries and ceviche were tasty.
The Broken Coconut has taken over Rules & Regs were themed for the Summer. The place has been decorated very nicely and special drinks created. I had a Frozé and was really good for the hot day we were having. The prices were high but good liquor was used. The staff was very cool and make us feel very welcomed, and the views of the city was specular.
