Ruth's Chris of Austin was truly an experience, and I'd love to share why. Our server, Katelyn, was one of a kind. She walked us through the different steak cuts with confidence and clarity, even recommending the best knives to use and explaining why. Once she found out we were celebrating our anniversary, she offered us a complimentary glass of champagne—such a thoughtful touch. We ordered the porterhouse, a filet, mushrooms, and the lobster mac. Everything was spot-on. The food was served on warm plates to keep it hot throughout the meal, and the sides were both delicious and shareable. We even had enough to take home. The atmosphere was clean, welcoming, and elegant. A special shout-out to the valet attendant who was working hard solo—he was hustling and still had a great attitude. The GM, Michael, stood out as well. He wasn't just managing from the sidelines—he was on the floor, carrying food, water, and checking in on tables. That kind of leadership shows. I was honestly nervous after reading all the glowing reviews, but now I get it—they're legit. I think I've found my new go-to spot.

This was a Tastemakers Dinner featuring Prisoner Wines. Prisoner has been one of my favorite wineries with a wonderful selection of wines. The wines ranged from Chardonnay at the beginning and going through to their Red Blend with a properly temped filet. Each wine was paired with food coarse and ooohhh, the pairings for this dinner were spot on! I have gone to several of these dinners and this rates up near the top for the wine, the correctness of the pairing and the variety and taste of the food. Just Marvelous.

We got there and it took 20 minutes to get our table even though we had a reservation and the table we were ultimately sat at was empty the entire time. They had one waitress for the entire restaurant, who was really sweet and doing her best. Unfortunately, she couldn't handle the volume by herself so our dinner took much longer than it should have, some orders were not complete when they arrived at the table, and getting anything was painfully slow. The food was good but the experience left me thinking it would not be my first choice for a return visit.

The food and drinks were amazing! We were lucky to get in on Christmas Eve! The steaks and sides were delicious, and I definitely recommend the calamari appetizer and ribeye. Our server, Natalie was very attentive, will definitely come back when we're in Austin!

Came here with my fiancée after work. I had steak and shrimp and she had crab cakes. Both were really good, although the portions were a bit small for the price paid. The atmosphere is very good. The restaurant looks well maintained, has beautiful decorations and there is a sense of calmness. The waiter was also very professional as well as the staff. It is quite pricy however, so be aware of that before eating there. Overall I would recommend visiting if price is not an issue.

We arrived at 7:30 for our reservation and was seated promptly and ordered. We ordered 2 steaks medium and two sides. At 8:25 our food came out. My steak was perfect, my husband's (birthday boy) was way overcooked. The creamed spinach tasted plinky. They apologized that a larger order in the back had the kitchen running behind, "what usually takes 20 minutes is now taking 25" is what the manager said was going on. Apparently his time schedule and the kitchen getting our food out didn't jive. Definitely not worth it. Oh and some strange man was in the restroom with me, when I came out of the stall, he was just standing there, then realized he was in the wrong place and ran out. Then, my husband and I watched him wonder out of the restaurant, like he was only there to use the restroom?? Really??
