My favorite coffee shop in Austin because of the FOOD (the milk bread is incredible like straight from Japan omg). The line goes by fast, even in their rush hour. Their staff is incredibly efficient and super friendly while they’re at it! There’s ample seating inside and out, with lovely natural lights from all the windows. Overall love the atmosphere… it calms me down after a stressful day.

First and foremost, woman taking my order was rude as HELL to the customer before me, customer seemed timid and hesitant to even order and I don’t know if the employee was having a bad day but I’m a barista at a different cafe (w/ WAY more traffic)— not an excuse to take your frustration out and be ugly to innocent customers. Trust, I get it. When it was my turn, I had a free drink punchcard as I’ve frequented this place a lot in the past. She took off the cheapest drink I had which was around ≈$3.50 vs a ≈$5.30 drink, liiisten… I hook my customers up when they have a discount code and to see another barista, who seemed to be upset prior to our interaction, feels a bit intentional to take off a cheaper drink just because you’re having a bad day. If that’s policy then I can’t argue w that but it does make people less likely to tip. She then made both of my drinks and damn near both of them are pure ice. We all have bad days and I don’t expect service workers to be happy-go-lucky but it isn’t my fault your day was going the way it was going. Go take 10 and rant to a coworker man. Have a good day.
Quite busy on a Saturday but service was prompt. Katsu was nice and crispy and curry side was delicious. Iced latte also had great flavor. Can get loud if you're trying to work or study.
katsu was great, curry was even better. The coffee tasted great too.
Vibey, refined but in that contemporary hipster way. Music was comfy and old. Layout has a lot of seating. There are lots of good food options. The onigiri options are nice, I tried the ume and it was wonderfully sour. Espresso coffee is well done, my cappuccino was very pleasant, lightly sweet, and very coffee. A nice place to sit and work, would probably be a cute date spot too.
Great food for a cafe!
Japanese style curry was really good, had a nice kick to it. The staff were very friendly, plenty of seats but kinda close to one another. Outdoor seating available as well. Good spot for working - although relatively close wasn't overly loud at all

Sa Ten provided me a place of healing when I was / continue to be deeply struggling with grief and loss. I am so thankful for the baristas who made a difference in my life when I was having so much trouble showing up for myself. They held me with such care, and for that, I will be forever grateful. Thank you

I have been wanting to try Sa-Ten for a while. Parking for the store was accessible and easy. The inside of the store is medium sized nicely decorated. Wish there were more seats but there is outside seating as well. I purchased the black sesame latte. It had an acquired taste but still very good. Studied outside was very relaxing. Only thing is; the latte made me feel a bit sick afterwards and was very heavy. Would come again to try other drinks.

We ordered an iced 16 oz chai and a hot 12 oz hojicha latte. When the drinks came out, both were in iced 16 oz cups. When I brought up that the hojicha was iced, not hot, the barista told me "oh, I can steam it for you". I guess she was implying that wouldn't water down the drink? I gave her a very confused look and walked away. Evidently, she didn't want to make it a second time.
In the end, my wife said that the hojicha was still nice. I thought that the chai was overly sweet. Just a disappointing first experience. The service just really spoiled my mood. At least the vibe of the restaurant is nice though, with Edison style bulbs and jazz music.
