I’ve been hearing a lot of good reviews about this place so decided to give it a try last weekend. First of all, they have a huge parking lot, but the entrance is a bit hidden on the right side.Upon entering, I found the place playing a pretty basic Japanese fusion diner vibe. You basically get to pick your own table and then place your order by the counter. I tried their lunch menu and matcha. Lunch sets were alright, the katsu pork curry bowl was pretty good, but the chicken karaage was just ok.My favorite thing from Sa Ten was actually their rose matcha latte. It was beautifully presented and tasted really yummy.I’m giving a 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ bc this particular store is a bit old and not super comfy.

It was ok, cute and friendly place to work at. Parking is available and the atmosphere is nice. The tatami mat room is so cute! I love the plants and art on the walls.Clean bathrooms and spacious layout. They have a printer available. The food (toast) was kinda mid, nothing amazing. I wanted to try some of their other menu but it wasn’t available yet. So I will be back. They have a water station. It’s also a self-bus location (you out away plates and cups) which I don’t mind, just an FYI.

Great milk bread toast for breakfast. The hot apple cider winter special is very refreshing. A very interesting cafe has a tatami room inside?

Great little coffee shop with a handful of Japanese dishes!

Such a cute coffee shop, good place to work, read or chat with a friend. The ambience was very chill and noise level is perfect, not too loud or eerily quiet. Sa Ten has a cozy vibe perfect for a cloudy day in, the staffs were very friendly and helpful. Space was decently sized with lots out outlets for charging. There were areas with several tables facing the windows, which I adore! They have a variety of different drinks - espresso, seasonal, Vietnamese inspired coffee called Saifa. I got the black sesame latte with reduced sugar, and I think thats the perfect sweetness. The full sweetness might be too much for me as I dont like my espresso drinks sweet. Its taste was very unique, a bit nutty with sesame powder, not something I have tasted before. They are offering no additional charge for milk alternative for the month of November which is pretty cool. My friend tried their katsu and said it was okay. I would definitely want to revisit to study or to meet a friend.

Really cute and quiet little coffee shop, so great for working. They also have some fun snacks to try.I came here when I was torrentially hungover to meet with a friend and I'm so glad he picked a dark, quiet cafe to chat because I don't think I could've handled a loud restaurant. The service was really friendly and I'd definitely return.

Sa-Ten is located in a run down older area of Austin. The menu has your staple coffee options with an addition to some seasonal drinks as well as toast! The coffee is fabulous. The black sesame latte is creamy, nutty and just ever so slightly sweet. The vanilla latte is sweet and milky, with a light touch of vanilla flavor. The egg toast is like an egg salad but served warmed and toasty. I honestly prefer this way rather than it served cold. The Japanese bread is soft, fluffy and serves as a great vessel for the boiled egg. Service was okay. The barista wasn't super friendly or smiley. It was just one worker so it took about 10 minutes to make our coffee. And about 15 minutes to make our toast since there is only one toaster oven. Interior is rather bland and dark. There's not much decor to look at however there is a tatami room. There is a small private parking lot in the front. Come for the coffee, or to get some work done because the cafe is pretty quiet. If you're looking for cute photos and nice lighting, you won't find it here. If you're looking for a solid cup of coffee, come here.

Okay lemme just inform everyone, it does not look like anything from the outside I had to do a triple take to realize this was the place. But once you're in it's adorable!! They have a mediation room??!! Yes sir give it to me, and that food??? What? I was not expecting such divine cuisine from a little cafe. Also there are outlets!!!! You need to look a little closer and they are all around the place. Great spot to work on your business. Their bathroom is also adorable! There is a little lit up sculpture in there! But it is a tad dingy so keep in mind. However, it was a good time in there;)

Just like their other location on east Austin, Sa-Ten continues to knock it out of the park. Love the food and coffee options. The katsu is my favorite with Japanese curry as a side, potato salad is a fantastic extra side.

My friends and I stopped here for a drink while on a trip to Austin, and I was impressed by the interior and vibe of the cafe. I ordered the Saifa, which is the cafe's take on Vietnamese iced coffee. I can't quite pin what they put in it. It's weird, but it's good and satisfied my need for caffeine. The interior of the cafe impressed me. There was abundant seating, colorful yet minimalist artwork/decor, and even a room you could reserve inside the cafe. If I lived in the area, I could definitely picture this as a regular cafe I'd go to get work done.

We came here for coffee and to study for a few hours. Loved the interior decoration, definitely a good spot to get work done. We got the two toasts: the Nori Tama and the sriracha smoked salmon, a Saifa, and a cortada. The Nori Tama was great, Japanese Mayo and egg and Texas toast is a surprisingly amazing combination. The cortada was good, good flavor, pricing was reasonable. Liked that they had a lot of fall specials, will have to try the apple crisp next time I visit. I don't have much good to say about the smoked salmon toast. The fish had a rubbery texture, and the flavor was oily, smelly, and the bread-topping ratio was out of proportion. The Saifa I would recommend getting cold, hot there was too much foam, and I didn't detect the flavor.

SO CUTE. we just got some teas and they were good but not phenomenal, but the FOOD they offer is actually very good quality I was so surprised with how tasty it was! and the vibe definitely makes the visit here worth it. they have a little japanese style private room which is where we sat, outdoor seating and normal seating. they also have free wifi. staff was very nice. quick service despite long lines. they have free private parking but if lot gets full there is also free street parking available.

Unassuming little spot. We ordered 2 dishes and they both are amazing! It totally caught us by surprise. We definitely will be back when we are back in the area again.
