Made a work lunch reservation for 11:30 AM, got a reservation confirmation and showed up to see a sign that says “new hours 12 pm-x”. Make sure to check the new hours before commuting

The butcher shop is amazing!

An incredible selection of meats, some I had never heard of! Had to try the popular Wagu Bavette for the first time. Wanted the ribeye already but knew it was good.

The place is nice, cool spot. Options are slim compared to other places, prices could be better as well

Everything was outstanding! How can everything be outstanding?! From the appetizers, to the recommended wine pairings. I could not ask for better!

Was really excited to go and try. We waited in the car for it to open. There are signs on the outside saying it opens from 12pm-6 everyday. Went in at 1215 and doors were locked still with no workers inside. Very disappointed and very unprofessional.

Had to check out of our airbnb at 11 am. Was in the mood for a burger and I stumbled upon this spot in my research. Decided to wait in my car for an hour for them to open since their hours say they open at 12. It is now 12:15 and there is no sign of life anywhere? They have signs posted everywhere that they open at 12 everyday yet there is no one here. Very unprofessional.

The Best Burger of my life! Order the way you want it. I always prefer Rare at Salt & Time.
Unfortunately, they're closing next week. ?

Our recent experience at Salt and Time Butcher Restaurant was a memorable one, albeit with some ups and downs. We were excited to explore their offerings, especially their biodynamic wine selection, but our visit had its share of challenges with the service.

Upon asking about biodynamic wines, our waiter, Michael, seemed a bit uncertain and there was some confusion when we discussed pesticides. Despite his efforts, which we appreciated, he initially indicated they didn't carry biodynamic wines, only to later suggest that all their wines were biodynamic. This inconsistency was surprising for a restaurant of their caliber.

As the evening progressed, there were a few lapses in service. Despite Michael's enthusiasm when discussing his favorite rooftop wine from Italy, he unfortunately forgot to bring the wine we ordered and later the frites that accompanied our steak. It took a couple of reminders before we received them, and there was a mix-up in timing despite his assurances.

However, despite these minor hiccups, the meal itself was exceptional. The steak was cooked to perfection and the salad was fresh and delicious. Once we finally received them, the frites were outstanding and complemented the meal wonderfully. The wine, when it arrived, was polished and enhanced our dining experience.

Towards the end of the evening, Michael apologized sincerely, acknowledging that he was a bit distracted, and graciously offered the frites and wine "on him." His unique farewell, thanking us as "astronauts jackolopes" and recommending the "wine bible," added a memorable touch to our visit.

It's regrettable to hear that Salt and Time Butcher Restaurant will be closing soon. Despite the service challenges, the quality of the food, particularly the exceptional steak frites, will remain a highlight of our dining experiences.

Stopped by for lunch and it was raining. Found out they are about to switch to regular service including bar service. There is a great butcher shop with fresh meat and speciality items such as terrine and rilette. There are fresh vegetables and other grocery items for sale including BSM flour and bread from Sour Duck. We took our lunch to go including an order of duck fat fries which we ate in the car on our way home. The salad and steak were delicious. Two thumbs up. Oh, did I mention they also have a wine shop featuring all natural wines?

Update 2024. Came for lunch with colleagues and had a couple of unpleasant surprises. First, I saw the menu listed wines by the glass for $10. I asked the waiter if a rosé was available and they said yes. When the final bill arrived, I noticed I paid $15 for the wine instead of the advertised price. Next, we were told there was a service charge added to the bill and this is not a tip. This kind of added charge is crazy. If you need to charge more for sustainable wages, then just raise the prices. Note that this is exactly how it works in Europe. So my moderately expensive lunch ended up being $45 instead of $35. The food and service were fine, but my experience was spoiled by the above issues.

Sad that they have been bought out and closing. Thankful I was able to enjoy their fabulous menu before it happened.

There are flies everywhere you can hardly breathe and they offer a monthly bag of meat but do not keep records well so they effectively stole my money. Avoid this overpriced garbage.
