Made a point to go in today. I have been in Austin Texas for 30 years,early on, 6th Street was the best place to enjoy a night on the town. Sam's BBQ has been a staple in Austin sense that time. But honestly speaking,life happens. I hadn't been in Sams for at least 15 years,that was too long. So today at 10 am.I was the first customer,for that excellent brisket Sandwiich. Same Great taste. But for me.walking through the door felt like I was visiting an old Family friend.,stepping back in time,how incredible a feeling. As the saying goes,"Dont forget to Visit with good folks" Thanks Sams for staying the course." NEVER FORGET THE PAST"

Not the Sam's we knew!My brisket was more grease than meat.Not worth it.they don't know if they are a BBQ place or a bar? The place is really showing a lack of leadership.Not going back .

Do yourself a favor...just don't bother to eat here! BBQ was over cooked mushy and ZERO flavor. I get that this might be a "local" favorite, but...trust me for the love ALL BBQ related don't do it!
