Avoid at all costs. I can’t understand the positive reviews. The food is terrible and ambiance is depressing. Fortunately, the hostess was kind and pleasant.

Just a small bakery with indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn't anything special in my opinion. I had been excited about their sourdough bit it was tough and on the hard side.

The bakery products are good but the service was incredibly slow. It took 35 minutes for them to make a matcha latte, which also lacked flavor, not enough matcha. My chili came out before the latte and was definitely California style, mostly beans with very little meat and not much flavor besides the heat from the peppers. As a Texan, I was unimpressed. The chili literally seemed like a can of pinto beans with a can of rotel and a very small amount of mystery ground meat, not worth the price! It seemed like they were filling tons of online orders for delivery drivers and neglecting the customers in the actual restaurant. They need to hire more staff and improve the quality of the food/beverages. I don't like writing bad reviews but this was truly a bad experience.Dietary restrictions: The chili is gluten free but was not good.

Yikes. This place has consistently let us down. Either they send us home with the wrong order or they cancel your order and make YOU call the ordering service to cancel on their behalf. This infuriates us. Today was the last straw. It is my birthday and once AGAIN, they called us to cancel our order. This time they said, “Oh, we aren’t serving breakfast at this time….” Okay then WHY did the website let me order??? Other restaurants who stop serving breakfast by a certain time have those certain breakfast items “grayed out” from ordering when they either sell-out or it’s past the order time. We have very limited free time between running our own business and raising a toddler. We expect something as simple as a sandwich order being the one thing that doesn’t cause us stress. When little things like this keep happening it adds up to a big thing. We are done ordering from San Francisco Bakery. I advise you to stay away too.

10/10!!! Omg where do I start?! Service was top notch! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! I loved interacting with them and they gave AMAZING recommendations! They paid so much attention to each guest even when it was superrr busy! Everything I had was DELICIOUS. The veggie quiche is LIFE CHANGING. Literally about to order another one and it’s a big chunk! Great portion size! I got a couple of danishes which were hard to choose! They had so many options! I came here specifically in hunt for a good cream cheese danish and they did not disappoint!! I will DEFINITELY be a regular :D

Had not visited in a while...what a change.. Used to be a favorite place when in that part of Austin. Never again. Danish x 2 mushy and cheese was thick and sour. French onion soup was cold with a large ball of cheese at the bottom of the bowl. Was told soup was no longer in a bowl which could be baked. My thought was remove from menu rather than serve this obscenity. I inquired if chef has changed. Rudely told no. Well, something has change an not for the benefit of patrons.

It was freezing cold inside and the ceiling fans were going. They did not know how to turn them off.

I have been coming to SFB for years. The food, service, and hospitality are exceptional! John and staff have done such a great job with the establishment. I can't say enough about the quality of the coffee, food and baked goods, they're all so good and consistent. Love this place!

I absolutely love SF bakery and come frequently for lunch. I recommend it to all. I take my fellow clinicians at AOMA and have helped increase the fanbase there. There is a decades long relationship between AOMA and SF bakery for great reasons. I look forward to many more meals there. The Santa Clara is delicious especially with a soup and a hot chocolate.
