Very rude bartender. He was slamming drinks on the bar and was obviously having a bad day. Will never go back.

I’ve been to Santa Rita several times over the years, and it’s always a great experience. Most recently, I stopped in for lunch while my mom was in surgery — I needed a comfortable place to work for a bit. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, making sure I had enough space for my laptop and meal. They checked in just the right amount — attentive but respectful, knowing I was working. The food was delicious as always, and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back anytime I’m in the area.

Tried this cute restaurant for the first time. The queso and hot sauce (definitely spicy) were amazing. The rest of the food was just okay. The beef fajitas were overcooked. Service was good and there was no wait.

The margaritas are the best. I've come plenty of times with coworkers after a long shift and it is great food/service/drinks every time. Reasonably priced too for being in downtown.

Our server, Ari, met us with a big smile at the entrance, sincerely complemented my wife on her dress and showed us to our table. Ari continued to be professional, friendly, sweet, helpful and engaging. What a pleasure!
Way to go Santa Rita for having someone like Ari to represent your restaurant, we’ll be back because of the food and atmosphere, but service like Ari’s I wish was everywhere.

Not what it used to be. Crappy margaritas and ish fajitas. They could do better.

Hot beer. No wings left and she did not let us know until way after we had put the order in. Food took for ever. Gentleman beside us ordered after us and his food came out way before. The lady really did not care about anything. Amy I am sorry 😞 if its been a rough day. As I type this I am still waiting on my tacos.......
Who is in charge 🤔 I have been here several times prior and it was way different.

My wife had a class reunion planning meeting here. I tagged along and had the veggie fajitas. The food was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. I've been here several times.

Santa Rita cafe has great Tex Mex. I always have the cheese enchiladas and they are consistently good. I recommend going for lunch or Happy Hour. Enjoy the music they play too.

Well, what could I possibly note except the food is terrible. The Tex Mex plate...not even close to Tex Mex. I have had better in a hole in the wall joint in San Antobio. A complete total waste of time and money. I understand wanting to present food that looks great. However, you are trying too hard to make something better but your food lacks authenticity. Mexican food is not a difficult process and really not hard to prepare.
You should try a Mexican Chef or even a cook. Such a beautiful place to have a cook ruin your business. The Manager is wonderful but the waitress didn't seem to enjoy her job. After our food was finally served she became absent. She never asked if we needed anything...like napkins or salsa. Also, we were served the crispy Taco as if it were an appetizer and waited for over 10 minutes to be served the rest of our order.
You're trying too hard to impress your customers rather than serving excellent food that is authentic. Too pricy for the quality of food and service. The manager did reduce the amount on our ticket but that didn't make up for a horrible dining experience. Maybe Austin but never in San antonio.
